Welcome to this Yoga Faith meditation.

First,

Go ahead and find yourself a seat in a chair where you can keep your feet grounded on the floor.

If this does not serve you,

You may find whatever meditative position that suits you best.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for your strength and goodness.

Thank you for giving us room to breathe in our souls.

You have set us up for life and we are so blessed to have you as our Sovereign Lord.

Please bless our hearts in this meditation so that we might be more open to your word.

Take a moment to ground yourself in your seat.

Have your feet grounded on the floor about hip distance apart.

Feel all four corners of your feet placed on the ground evenly.

Feel the level ground.

Begin to focus on your breath as you inhale for 1,

2,

3,

4,

And exhale for 1,

2,

3,

4.

Inhale 1,

2,

3,

4.

Exhale 1,

2,

3,

4.

Inhale 1,

2,

3,

4.

Exhale 1,

2,

3,

4.

Continue at this pace for the next few moments.

Pay attention to each inhale and to each exhale.

My help and glory are in God-granite strength and safe harbor.

So trust Him absolutely,

People.

Lay your lives on the line for Him.

God is a safe place to be.

Psalm 62,

7 through 8.

God,

You are so good.

He's solid rock under my feet,

Breathing room for my soul,

An impregnable castle.

I'm set for life.

Psalm 62,

1 through 2.

If you feel your mind wandering,

Come back to your breath.

Focus on the in and out,

And feel free to continue to count your breath.

Strength comes straight from God.

Psalm 62,

11.

Love to you,

Lord God.

You pay a fair wage for a good day's work.

Psalm 62,

12.

Bring your awareness back to your breath.

Notice any sensation that you might be feeling throughout your body as you bring your awareness toward your fingers,

Your wrists.

Wiggle your fingers and maybe find a few wrist rotations.

Bring your awareness back to your feet.

Maybe tap your feet on the ground a few times to remember the grounding sensation you found at the beginning of our meditation.

Thank you for meditating with me today.

I love the unique combination of breath work with beautiful prayers and Bible quotations. However, I wouldn't call it a beginner's meditation because it is appropriate for any level.
