After work, we're either feeling drained or pulled to work more. This short breathing exercise will disrupt the urge to keep working and give you the energy you need to be present with your family. This is meant to be practiced after you shut down work and before you walk into your house. Enjoy!

All right,

This is gonna be a short box breathing exercise to transition from our day,

Our work,

Our go energy into more of a present energy for your family and to be a dad and to be a husband.

So the first thing we're gonna do is just sit down and see if you can relax,

See if you can start noticing your breathing in through the nose and out through the nose and relax your jaw,

Relax your shoulders,

Let them fall back and down.

Soften your hips,

Let go in the glute muscles,

Relax your legs all the way down to your feet.

And with this breathing,

We're going to count and I'm gonna count the first count is gonna be breathing in and then we're gonna hold our breath and then we're gonna exhale and then we're gonna hold our breath at the exhale.

So dive in,

Breathe in for five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One and hold your breath,

Three,

Two,

One,

Release,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One and hold,

Two,

One,

Breathe in and hold your breath.

Inhale,

Hold your breath,

Exhale and hold,

Breathe in and a longer hold,

Hold,

Hold,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale and hold,

Breathe in and hold,

Hold and exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale and hold.

Okay,

Let go,

Breathe naturally,

Feel your body relax,

Smile,

Put a smile on your face and when you go and you're with your family,

If you notice your body getting tense or defensive or wanting to check out,

Smile and come back to how you feel right now,

This moment.

All right,

You're doing a good job,

You got this,
