After just one session, you’ll notice your craving for the food you chose becoming weaker, but you can repeat this exercise to strengthen the effect. At the beginning, I’ll ask you to think about the food you want to reduce your craving for. Picture it clearly — how it looks, where you usually eat it, and how it tastes. Then, notice the feeling it creates in your body.Next, the exercise begins. First, I’ll guide you to calm your mind by expanding your awareness — what we call diffuse attention. Then, I’ll invite you to bring up the image of that food a few times. With practice, the signal in your body connected to the craving may gradually weaken. To get the best results, find a quiet place where you’ll be alone and undisturbed. Ideally, don’t sit facing a window or anywhere with movement in front of you, so nothing distracts your attention.
