Dear friend,
Okay now hear me out.
Oh how I wish you really knew.
Like deep down in your soul knew just how enough you are.
More than enough.
I know what they say.
I know what they have said.
But get this,
They don't exist.
Not really.
Sure,
That person did say that one thing that one time.
Yes,
You did experience that terrible,
Horrible and very real thing.
But guess what?
None of those ever took away from just how inherently worthy you are.
They tried,
It tried.
But guess who's writing this story,
My love?
Yes,
You are.
Isn't that wonderful?
So as you are telling yourself and anyone else the story of you,
Be sure to say I was born enough worthy.
Every problem I've had has hurt,
Yes.
It's important to acknowledge that.
But has also refined me.
I didn't have to go through that.
It wasn't part of some grand plan.
But since I did go through it,
It is now mine to transform and use for my healing,
For my good.
I am an alchemist.
Even the challenges I face today will push me to grow.
Now,
Close your eyes if you can.
Take a deep breath.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Affirm these things with me.
I believe in myself.
I believe in the purpose and dreams that were seeded in my heart,
Maybe even as a child.
And I know that what I believe is possible.
I don't have to know everything.
I release any notion of perfection.
I am always moving forward,
Second by second,
Minute by minute,
Hour by hour,
Step by step,
At my own pace.
I release comparison.
I will not let it steal my joy.
I will keep my head up and straight,
Focus on my own path and not the paths of those beside me,
Or in front of me.
I give myself permission to make the choices I need to make for my life.
I choose peace.
I choose joy.
I choose love.
I choose love.
Yes,
I give myself permission to be love and receive love.
Love is all around waiting for me to truly see it.
And I do.
With gratitude,
I see the love that holds me even when I feel lonely or unseen.
Love sees me.
I am seen by love.
I am seen by love.
I am enough and I am seen by love.
If no one else sees me,
Love does.
I will sit today in the joy of that,
In the peace of that.
I will let love fuel my day.
Today is a fresh start.
New mercies,
New graces await me.
I will lean into this day,
Leading with love,
Standing flat-footed in my truce,
Fighting for what I believe in,
Reveling in joy,
And resting when my body calls me to.

Dear friend,
These are not just words.
They are a declaration of healing.
They are changing the course of your life even if you can't feel it yet.
Even if you can't see it yet.
They are the way we override the voices of pain and negativity.
Repeat them over and over again.
This is how we rewrite the story.
