If you want to take your power back.
The first step.
To restore your breath.
Because of the intimacy that the breath shares with the mind.
Your breath is the gateway.
To higher consciousness.
Most of us are not breathing to our full capacity.
We're only breathing in our upper chest.
Shallow breath.
And no wonder why.
We have things like anxiety.
Panic attacks,
Dysregulation of the nervous system,
That's because we're not breathing properly.
So how to breathe properly.
This is called three part breathing.
First you initiate your first third of your breath into your belly.
And your belly expands outwards as a result of your diaphragm expanding.
Then the second part is into your lower lungs where your ribs will actually expand laterally.
So it looks like this.
See how my hands actually move very slightly.
Sidewards instead of outwards like the belly,
Forward.
And then the final third is actually into the upper lungs,
Which is where your chest will rise very slightly.
So the full breath looks like this.
If you place your hands and you follow me.
On your belly and just under your ribs.
Inhale into your belly Lower lungs.
Upper lungs.
Exhale your navel draws back.
Inhale,
Just look at my hands.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
When you exhale,
You want to expel all of the air and as a result,
Your navel will draw back towards your spine very naturally.
You don't need to force it.
So let's try this for a minute or so.
Close down your eyes.
You can place your hands onto your belly if you need to.
To begin,
Exhale all of your breath.
Inhale into your belly Then into your lower lungs,
Feel your ribs expand sideways.
And then into your upper lungs,
Feel your chest rising towards your chin.
Exhale all of your breath,
Navel draw back.
Inhale into your belly Into your lower lungs,
Ribs expand sideways.
Into your upper lungs,
Chest rises up.
Exhale all of your breath,
Navel draws back Inhale into your belly.
Into your lower lungs.
Into your upper lungs.
Exhale,
Navel draws back.
Inhale.
Belly.
Lower lungs.
Upper lungs Exhale,
Navel draws back.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Continue to practice on this way for a couple more rounds.
Make it as effortless as possible.
As silent as possible.
As seamless.
And as smooth as possible.
Remove the jerkiness in your breath.
Remove the pauses in your breath.
Your body knows how to breathe.
You breathe like that when you.
.
.
We're a baby.
With your whole body you breathe.
So this is just A remembering.
Remembering your breath.
The Gateway.
To your higher mind.
To higher consciousness.
To union.
The source.
The breath is the first step.
Finish up your Final round.
When you're ready,
Lower your chin down slightly.
And open your eyes Do this.
As a challenge for yourself for the next seven days,
Better if you can do it over the next 40 days.
It's going to completely change the way you breathe,
Recalibrate the way you breathe.
Every single day in the morning,
Just one minute of proper breathing.
It's called three-part breathing.
One minute of this.
Or in between tasks.
When you're feeling a little bit tired just pause.
And take 10 breaths of three part breathing.
And experience your life change when you change the way you breathe.
Thank you so much for sharing your attention with me and for practicing.
And I can't wait to hear.
Your experiences from this.
