Hello and welcome to June's monthly reset meditation.
My name is Alex.
I am a trained death doula,
Medium,
And intuitive healer,
Encouraging you along your path and reconnection to your deepest knowing.
I'm honored that you're here and sharing this space with me today.
Thanks so much for being here.
These monthly meditations,
Always on the first of every month,
Serve as a recalibration diving into the month ahead.
We will center into the space together.
I will guide you through a series of thought exercises.
And we will end with a series of affirmations to keep with us throughout the month.
So if you're ready,
Just settle into your surroundings,
Whether you're sitting in a chair or on the floor or even lying down.
Make any adjustments your body feels called to make.
Whatever feels most supportive for your body.
Feel free to close the eyes here or leave them in a soft gaze.
And just be with the natural rhythm of your breath here for a few beats.
From here,
Notice your inhales as you pull the air deep into your lungs,
Renewing yourselves with fresh oxygen.
And on your next exhale,
Bring your focus to your belly and feel the release as the air leaves your abdomen.
It is something we so often take for granted,
This breath,
That it almost feels strange paying such close attention to it.
However,
This attention brings us closer to our knowing,
Closer to ourselves.
Stay with this knowing as we continue forward with the meditation.
I'd like for you to envision yourself one month from now on July 1st.
30 days stretch out behind you.
And each day brought new opportunities,
Growth,
And learning.
Now,
As you consider those 30 days ahead of you,
Envision yourself on a large,
Flat granite stone.
There are no other stones around you,
Just the one you're on today.
But beside you is a little gardening cart with a pot,
A bag of soil,
And a water jug.
You instinctively fill the pot with soil and water the surface a bit,
But aren't quite sure what to plant,
Seeing as there are no flowers or small plants nearby.
You start to wonder what the point is when you suddenly realize a small sprout has started to form in the top of the pot of soil.
You wonder what magical seed you could have planted without even knowing it?
But nevertheless you admire the tender little sprout.
As each day progresses,
Another granite stone is set in front of you,
And the gardening cart follows along beside you as you move forward,
Stone after stone.
After a few days,
You've noticed the sprout has stayed the same.
No new growth.
It's still happy and green,
Just not any bigger.
But you keep moving forward,
Stone after stone.
Watering the sprout as needed.
And allowing the sunshine to do its magic.
Fifteen days in,
You begin to wonder if your sprout is somehow defective.
Nothing has changed and you can almost convince yourself the sprout has shrunk a tiny bit.
You start to feel frustrated and begin inspecting all the elements involved.
You check the pot for major cracks.
There are none.
You check the label on the bag of soil to make sure it's not out of date.
It's brand new.
You make sure you've refreshed the water and adjusted the location of the pot so it gets just the right amount of June's bright sun.
And everything appears to be in order.
When day 16 rolls around,
However,
You arrive at your stone to see something miraculous.
The sprout has a new leaf.
The careful tending is working.
You're relieved to witness some progress and this rejuvenates you and encourages you to keep moving forward.
Out of the corner of your eye,
You happen to notice a magnifying glass has appeared on the bottom shelf of the gardening cart as well.
You pick it up and hold it up to your eye as you lean down to look at your proud sprout.
Strangely,
You find there is writing on the new leaf.
Intention,
It says.
This is what you've been tending.
Intention.
Seeing this reminder helps you feel held,
Even in the unknown.
And sends a glow of comforting light throughout your body.
As you continue each day,
New stones appear and new leaves sprout.
What was once a tiny seed is now a young plant,
Each leaf representing actions taken and intentions energized.
You reach the end of the month feeling proud of your tending,
A true gardener of your soil and soul.
When you arrive the next morning.
You find you are back at the beginning of your stone path.
Only one stone is present,
And your pot has yet to be filled with soil.
You realize you are back at day one.
And yet,
You instinctively know what to do.
Take a few moments here to consider what your seed of intention will be for the month ahead.
And one small action you can take today.
To begin your next 30 days forward.
I'll come back in just a moment.
I'd like to also offer a few affirmations to provide some support as you journey along your path this month.
Feel free to use any of these or create your own.
And you can repeat them back to yourself either out loud or in your mind.
I'll repeat them twice so you can let it marinate the first time.
I follow my intentions with aligned actions and the universe supplies the energy for forward momentum.
I follow my intentions with aligned actions,
And the Universe supplies the energy for forward momentum.
I am capable of living a life of alignment,
Integrity,
And loving action.
I am capable of living a life of alignment,
Integrity,
And loving action.
Even when it doesn't feel like it,
The universe is always supporting my growth.
Even when it doesn't feel like it,
The universe is always supporting my growth.
No matter how many times I lose sight of my intentions.
I am always able to begin again.
No matter how many times I lose sight of my intentions.
I am always able to begin again.
And so it is.
I'm so grateful you joined me here today.
I like to close my meditations with a phrase that keeps me grateful,
Centered,
And hopeful.
Thank you.
I love you.
Keep going.
Until next time.
