Delta waves are the slowest of all five brain wave frequencies. Location: temporal lobes and in subjective states on the occipital lobes. They are between 0.1 and 4Hz. Lower down and it's brain death. Delta waves are obtained in a state of slow sleep, they manifest themselves during deep sleep with rapid eye movements. Delta waves are involved in our ability to integrate and let go; it is an unconscious state and deep sleep. They reflect the unconscious mind.
