Have you ever felt heavy?

Like the weight of the world's problems rests solely on your shoulders to fix?

Have you ever felt hardened because a company doesn't tell the truth and you see injustice affecting lives across society?

Yet when we see a friend or a fellow activist or family member,

We feel quite the opposite.

When we are greeted with love and joy or empathy,

We soften.

Have you ever felt that?

This softening,

This joy and this love,

This is the energy that that saves us,

The energy that propels us forward and we feel it rising from the earth,

Deep,

Deep within the earth,

Grounding us through our feet.

As you listen to this,

Let yourself breathe.

Let it soften you and let the water drip down over your body and soften you as if it's soaking deep into the soil of your skin,

Allowing you to be nourished by the earth's deep.

Imagine each drop dripping onto your body as you start to relax.

Let the sounds of the water drip onto the top of your head.

Feel the water soak down through your face,

Allowing each muscle in your body,

In your face,

To relax.

Feel the water relaxing each of your muscles as it slowly drips further down your body,

Relaxing your neck,

Relaxing your left shoulder.

Let it trickle down to your left elbow and your left wrist until you feel the water drop off the end of each of your fingertips of your left hand.

Let the water flow down your right shoulder,

Down to your right elbow,

As each and every muscle relaxes as the water flows down into your right wrist and into your right fingertips.

Every breath you take,

Let it sink deeper as if your body is sinking into the soil along with the water,

Back into the earth.

Let the water run down your chest and down to your belly.

Let it nourish your stomach and flow down to your hips,

Washing away any stress or tension,

Anxiety or fear.

Let it soften you.

We hold so much tension in our body,

We often don't even realize that it's there because we're so used to holding on.

Now is the time to let that all go.

Let the water rush over your left hip and down into your left thigh.

Let your thigh sink into the soil as you relax.

Let your left knee relax as the water flows all the way down into your left ankle before it drips off the end of each and every toe of your left foot.

Breathe.

Let the water run down your right hip into your right thigh and down your right hip into your right thigh.

As your thigh sinks below the surface of the soil,

Let the water nourish you.

Let the water run down your right knee,

Down your right calf,

Into your right ankle and over the end of your right foot and toes as if both toes have sprouted new seeds.

You feel grounded by the earth,

Almost as if you are part of the soil.

As you sink deeper,

The water has completely soiled you.

Now that you are one with the earth,

You can completely relax and let the water soften you.

You are now at peace.
