The new moon is the perfect time to set intentions. At this time, the moon is not visible in the sky. Without the benefit of the moon's light, our ancestors rested on new moon nights. Use this time to go inward and reflect on your desires. Set intentions for the new moon cycle and for your life. In this guided meditation, I will guide you on a journey of setting intentions and cleansing your energy field to remove any energies that are not aligned with your intentions for the new moon cycle.

Sit in a chair or on the ground with your spine upright.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Feel every part of your body starting to relax.

Feel all the worries sleeping away.

Say aloud or in your mind.

New moon,

I ask you to help me cleanse and clear away any energy that no longer serves me.

Quiet your mind and become aware of your breath.

Start sending each inhale deep into your belly.

Begin extending your inhales and your exhales.

Visualize white cleansing light coming from the new moon softly surrounding your body.

Imagine that this white cleansing energy is gently clearing away energy no longer serving you.

Continue to focus on your breath and imagine the cleansing energy cleansing your aura for a few seconds.

Can you feel that your energy has been cleansed?

Thank the new moon.

Say aloud or in your mind.

New moon,

I ask that you and my guides share guidance with me.

About what I should focus on in this lunar cycle.

Continue to focus on your breath.

Be open and receptive to information that may come to you.

Trust any sensations you experience as true.

Continue to focus on your breath.

Stay in this receptive space for as long as you'd like.

Thank the moon and your guides for any information they shared with you.

Now release any control of your breath.

Start moving your toes and your fingers.

And when you feel ready open your eyes,

Connect with your body and write down any information you received.
