I'm LisaJ.
I'm so glad you're here.
I want us to begin like we often do.
With softly closing our eyes.
Very slowly.
And as you do so,
Let out a deep,
Heartfelt exhale.
Rawr!
Now let's get comfortable.
You could be seated or you could be laying down.
But as you do so,
Allow your arms and your legs and some feet to,
As we say,
Flop.
Just flop.
Releasing as much tension as you can.
And sometimes flexing your feet backwards and forwards a few times and then wiggling them a bit.
Will help loosen things up even more.
Throughout our time together if you need to adjust anything at all,
Do so.
This is about placing yourself in your own comfort zone.
There is no perfect pose.
It's just feeling comfortable.
Together now,
Through the nose,
Let's take a slow,
Purifying inhale.
Hold at the top.
And now slowly and deeply release your breath.
Let's do that again.
Long inhale deep into your belly this time.
Hold.
Now slowly release it all.
I hope that feels as good for you as it does for me.
Okay,
We're going to do some visualization using your mind's eye.
And this is going to feel a little bit different.
I want you to.
.
.
Go quiet.
Go peaceful.
And now.
Imagine our beautiful planet Earth.
As though human beings had never existed here.
Imagine the only life here has been the sentient presence of plants and animals.
Pure waters fill the deep oceans and seas,
As well as the winding rivers and streams,
Crystal clear springs.
Lakes,
Wetlands.
Visualize the vast meadows that's way beneath the open skies.
Ancient forests that stretch forever and ever untouched by human footsteps.
The rocks and soil that carry their own subtle energies.
Guiding birds across great migrations.
And helping animals find their way home.
These same energies nourish the towering trees,
The flowering vines,
The grasses and plants of every shape,
Texture,
And color.
As you visualize above,
The skies dance with clouds and breezes.
Maybe there's a rainstorm.
Maybe there's snowfall.
Each day,
This earth of yours slowly turns into the sunlight.
And then slowly back into the darkness.
Which is illuminated only by that mysterious glow of its celestial companion,
The moon.
As you,
The silent observer,
Take the next minute.
To breathe slowly and gently and allow yourself to fully experience this earth,
The one that is never known.
Human life forms and visualize it in as much detail as you can and try not to let your mind wander away to the here and now.
So let's begin.
It's beautiful,
Isn't it?
Now,
What do you hear in this untouched world?
What are the sounds say at sunrise?
Perhaps there are birds greeting the morning light as they wake up.
Or there's the movement of water.
The Rustling of Grasses.
Coming alive with the day.
Simply listen.
Let's take a slow breath in.
And out.
Become aware of the fragrances around you,
And there may be many.
Perhaps the scent of pine and the damp earth.
Maybe fragrant flowers or wildflowers warmed by the sun.
Or perhaps my favorite fragrance,
Fresh rain that is approaching.
It's not here yet,
But you know it's coming.
Take a deep breath.
Allow yourself to imagine them fully.
Now softly part your lips and what do you taste in the air?
Is it the sweetness of honeysuckle?
Or the mist that is coming off a mountain stream?
Perhaps it's salt carried inland from a distant ocean.
Or.
.
.
The raindrops have arrived.
And they're falling gently onto your upturned face.
And you can taste them.
And as the day turns to night and darkness deepens,
Notice how this world changes around you.
The sounds become different.
They're more subtle.
They're more mysterious.
Take a moment.
Let's listen.
And as your vision adjusts to the darkness,
Look upward.
How many stars fill the sky from one end to the other?
Are there clouds drifting slowly across the face of the moon?
Can you feel a cool nighttime breeze against your face?
Now let's reflect on this.
Our souls were invited to experience life here as earthly beings.
And like all of our fellow sentient companions,
The animals that roam the land,
Soar through the skies,
Swim beneath the waters,
The trees,
The plants,
The insects,
The flowers that are citizens of this world,
We were meant to live in relationship with each other,
With them,
Not apart from the hum of living.
As humans,
We came here to see,
To inhale,
To feel,
To taste,
To experience.
We are not the keepers of the earth.
We are not the overseers.
We're not separate from it.
We are simply another equal part of its living tapestry.
Another thread woven into the great design.
Another note in its ongoing song.
For a few moments now.
Simply rest in that truth.
And as you carry forward in this day.
And each day,
Try to remember your place among the countless expressions of life that share this world.
And as you and I part ways,
Please know the light in me honors the light in you and honors the divine spark present in all that is part of this beautiful planet Earth.
Namaste,
My friends.
