No one will ever love you as much as you love yourself.
When my teacher,
The late maestro David Kyle,
Delivered this hard truth,
I was very disappointed.
But then he revealed to me the practice that bridged me back to loving myself.
He said,
Most people lie to themselves in the negative often.
Why not lie to yourself in the positive?
As you affirm,
Source confirms.
So tell yourself how wonderful you are.
Tell yourself how much you love yourself.
Give thanks and praise for all the gifts and talents you have,
And for the life experience you are living now.
Fall in love with yourself.
This is where meditation serves us.
When we enter meditation,
It is like stepping into the ocean knowing we have the skill to dive under the clamoring waves.
To kindle the love affair between your body and your soul,
So you can be an instrument of love in this world,
Is the purpose of this guided meditation.
Choose a quiet place away from distractions.
Be warm and comfortable.
Lie down on a supportive surface,
Palms facing up.
Placing a bolster,
Folded blanket,
Or pillow under your knees will give added comfort to your low back.
Once you have made yourself comfortable,
Settle into your body and delight in the stillness.
You may fall asleep during the practice.
However,
Begin with the intention of maintaining a wakeful state so that you are present to receive the guidance and enjoy the ride.
Allow the sound of my voice to carry you into the ocean of deep relaxation.
