Hi there,
I welcome you to a meditation on cutting cords.
So I invite you to find a comfortable position.
It could be sitting up or laying down or standing.
However you find your body to be most at ease.
And now if you could notice your breath.
Is it breathing through your nose or your mouth?
Perhaps you could welcome it deeper into your body.
And maybe you could notice the solid surface beneath you.
Maybe it's a chair or bed.
If you could adjust something to make yourself more comfortable,
Maybe get a blanket or take a sip of water,
I invite you to do so.
And if you could think of one way in which you're safe in this moment,
Maybe you have access to food,
You have your glass of water,
You can adjust the temperature,
You have shelter,
And your breath can flow naturally.
And you can always come back and take a deep breath.
I invite you to scan your body.
Maybe start at your toes,
Noticing your ankles,
And taking a few moments to go through your body from bottom to top.
Or maybe you prefer top to bottom.
Noticing any emotions or sensations,
Stress,
Joy.
If you could imagine your lower body,
And I invite you to create a grounding for yourself.
Perhaps you imagine roots coming out of your feet into the ground,
Or if you're laying flat,
Maybe from your body.
Or you could consider that your body is made of the earth.
You could imagine melting your body into the solid surface beneath you,
Whether it's soft or firm.
Your lower pelvis,
And you might imagine a grounding emerging from that area of your body,
And maybe it's a tree or some other cord,
A waterfall,
Or whatever comes to mind.
And I invite you to connect that to that lower energy center beneath your belly button,
And let it go down through the floor and down to the center of the earth.
And then you can imagine a grounding for the earth,
And connecting.
And you can always come back to this,
Release it,
Create a new one,
Think of it,
And your breath as we go through the meditation.
And next,
I invite you to imagine your aura,
Or a bubble of energy around you,
And simply noticing where the edge of that bubble is,
And perhaps igniting the outer edge as a boundary of awareness and for your own energy and protection.
Perhaps it's like the outside of a raindrop,
Or a glass globe glistening on the outside,
For protection and awareness.
And if you could imagine yourself inside that bubble,
What might you look like?
What might you see or experience?
And if there's anything you'd like to release,
Please let it go down your feet into the ground,
Or seep out of your body into the solid surface area beneath you.
Perhaps it gets sucked out of you,
Or you release it down your grounding with ease,
Naturally.
And if you could become aware of a cord,
So we have cords of energy between us and others,
Or even animals,
Could even be to the past or future,
And they're really agreements that we have,
And cords can come in our body,
Or we can send them out.
And sometimes their timeline runs out,
And it's time to release it or change it,
And give that person their energy,
And use that energy for something else.
So if you could become aware of a cord that's coming from you out to somewhere else,
Something that's just out of time,
Perhaps isn't serving you and the other person or time anymore,
Or maybe you want to change the nature of it.
And notice where in your body it's coming from.
Is it coming from your heart?
If you're aware of energy centers in your body,
Noticing which one it might be coming from.
And if there's any messages or old energy in there,
Maybe you can notice the intention that you had in sending this energy to that person,
Place,
Or thing.
Maybe notice a color,
Maybe it's a clear-cut cord,
Or maybe it's a wish or a thought.
And I invite you to release the cord,
Either pull your energy back,
Or take some big scissors and cut it,
Or however you see fit,
Or whatever comes to mind.
And just notice if there's any healing that needs to be done.
Perhaps it left a little gaping hole in your energy bubble or in your space,
And maybe you could invite in some healing.
Perhaps what you were sending out was something that you needed for yourself.
So take a few moments,
Maybe imagine giving yourself a hug or pat it,
Pat yourself in that area,
Inviting in some healing.
Perhaps it's love.
And maybe you can notice a subtle shift in your own energy as you bring back some energy that you were using for something at a certain time,
And now that agreement is done and it can be used for something else.
And next,
I invite you to notice any cords that are coming into your space.
Some energy someone's trying to give you,
Or an old relationship or agreement,
Because we have a right to our own space.
And so we do allow people to enter for various reasons,
Energetically.
And it can be true that people do try to force their energy,
And we can also remove that energy and heal underneath it.
So maybe you could imagine a symbol to represent the cord or the energy that's directed at you that you're ready to be complete with.
Maybe you allowed it,
Maybe it was directed at you without your invitation,
But this is a chance to heal and let it go.
So if you imagine a symbol for it,
You could destroy the symbol or you could hand it back to them if you can see who it's from.
Maybe you flush it out,
Imagine a toilet and flush it down the drain or burn it,
Or simply flush it out of your energy fields,
Down your grounding,
And just take a moment and notice your space without that energy in it,
And notice if there's any shift or maybe feel a little bit more energy flowing through you.
And if you notice a space,
If you would like to fill it,
I invite you to imagine a symbol for something you would like to have instead.
Or maybe you invite in a color or a feeling,
Or perhaps it feels good to leave some spaciousness.
And once again,
Checking in with your body,
Checking in with your grounding,
And take a moment and tune into your inner voice,
Or perhaps you can hear a voice or sense your own intuition or feeling,
And ask for any messages as we conclude this brief healing meditation.
Perhaps it's a message for the day or a lesson.
Maybe you see an image or a symbol or hear a message.
And if there was one takeaway from this meditation,
For you to remember it by,
What might that be?
Maybe it's the message you heard or your symbol you saw or a color or a feeling,
And slowly become aware of the space around you.
Maybe you hear noises or become aware of where you are.
