Hello beautiful friends.
My name is Karlyn.
I'll be guiding you through our 20-minute chakra healing yoga class today.
And I just wanted to remind you of the beauty and symbolism of a rainbow.
Obviously,
We all know that you can't have a rainbow without a little rain.
Rain brings us life and mud and muck and gray clouds sometimes but At the end of it all,
The clouds part,
The sun peeks out,
And we get this.
Magical,
Beautiful.
Natural.
Occurrence that is just astonishing every single time we see it.
So as we flow today,
Just remember that even in the darkest saddest of times.
There is magic yet to come.
God,
Do you mind?
Grab some water and let's begin.
You've got your mat,
You've got your water,
Hopefully you've just got a quiet space where you can really relax and find some sanctuary today in this healing rainbow yoga club.
We'll begin in an easy pose.
Sit on down,
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
You can do crisscross applesauce,
You can have your legs out long,
Whatever feels good.
Let your tailbone connect to the earth.
Find that rooting groundedness.
Let your palms rest either facing upward to receive some energy or downward.
To feel even more grounded.
We're going to come into this moment.
Yoga begins in the now.
The present moment.
So connect to your breath.
Maybe you close your eyes if that feels safe and comfortable to you.
Take a few breaths here.
To just sink in.
Now if you have your eyes closed,
Pop them open just for a moment.
I'm going to show you something.
We're going to begin class with a little bit of breath work called Nadi Shodhana.
So take your peace fingers,
Bring them to your third eye,
The space between your brows.
And we're going to bring our thumb to our right nostril and our ring finger to our left nostril.
We're going to take turns switching back and forth breathing through our opposite nostrils,
Okay?
We're balancing out the masculine and the feminine.
We're balancing out the sun and the moon,
The rain and the rainbow,
Okay?
So peace fingers to your third eye.
Plug your right nostril with your thumb and inhale through your left nostril.
Pause at the top.
Plug your left nostril with your ring finger,
Release your right nostril,
And release your breath.
Exhale through your right nostril.
Inhale through your right.
Plug it up and switch it out.
And health through your life.
Switch.
Exhale out your right leg.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Few more times just like that at your own pace.
One more full round.
Han reallys.
Oh.
We're really grounding in here.
And the idea behind this yoga class is we're going to move up from the root all the way to the crown.
So beginning with your root chakra which resonates in the color red.
There's a million affirmations that you may choose to identify with or to repeat.
It could be different every day,
But today I'm offering up for the root chakra the affirmation,
I am supported.
I am supported.
The earth fully supports me.
So with that in mind,
Let's come over to a tabletop position.
You can wrinkle out your arms,
Your wrists,
Your legs,
Take anything out that you need.
And we'll eventually make our way to a downward dog.
Once again,
Pedal up your feet,
Taking movements you need.
All the while noticing how supported you are.
By the air.
Earth.
Forward it.
Supports me.
Thank you Mother Earth,
You're amazing.
Chloe,
Look.
Inhale gaze forward,
Tiptoe your feet to the top of the mat.
And slowly,
One vertebra at a time,
Roll all the way up.
We're gonna flow through one side salutation just to greet the sun.
Thank you,
Son,
For coming out,
Giving us the rainbows.
Inhale that pose,
Reach up.
Maybe take a little baby bath and exhale.
Forward fold,
Flat spine as you melt to the earth.
Inhale,
Halfway,
Leverage.
Exhale,
Flow through your chaturanga,
Plant your palms,
Step your feet back.
Always option to drop your knees here.
And flow your chest to the earth.
Inhale,
Cobra pose or upward facing dog,
Whatever feels good to you.
Listen to your body today,
Please.
Exhale,
Downward-facing dog.
Shakira will take one nice,
Beautiful breath here.
I am supported.
Inhale,
Reach your right leg nice and high.
Exhale,
Low lunge,
Step it through.
Stack your right knee over your right ankle.
Let your left heel fall to the mat.
We're going to find a warrior two.
So I'm going to be facing away from the camera,
But I'll stay here so you can see the shape.
90 degree bend in your right knee.
The arch of your left foot is going to be in line with the heel of your right foot,
Okay?
So they're on one line here.
And we'll reach out nice and long.
Warrior 2.
Gaze out over your front middle finger.
Stack your shoulders over your hips.
Sit nice and deep,
Feel your thighs firing up too.
And him.
Exhale.
Inhale,
Reverse warrior,
Reach your left arm forward.
Towards your left calf.
Reach your right arm up,
Up,
Up,
And then start to reach back.
Opening up,
Creating a rainbow shape in your side body.
Up and back.
One big inhale here.
And exhale.
Release.
Now for this shape,
You're gonna just tilt your left toe outward.
You're in goddess clothes now,
But I'm going to turn around so I can show you that.
So your toes are pointing outward towards the corners of your mat.
Once again,
Knees over ankles.
Nice deep bend here.
God is pose.
Or God,
Whatever.
You can find the Lotus Mudra if that feels good to you.
You can find Anjali Mudra,
Prayer hands,
Whatever feels good.
You could bring your palms here.
Maybe take a little spinal twist.
Open it up.
That feels so good.
And find some stillness here.
Tune in to your second chakra,
Your sacral chakra.
The color is orange.
And if you'd like to repeat a mantra or an affirmation here.
You could say,
My body.
Is sacred.
Or I create.
With my sacred hand.
You are a goddess.
You've got this.
One more strong inhale.
And exhale release cartwheel your arms You'll be facing the top of your mat still,
Just like me.
And you can take a chaturanga or just head to downward facing dog.
We've got to even that out.
On the other side.
Inhale,
Left leg high.
Exhale,
Low ladder.
Now I'll be facing the right way.
But your right foot down.
Left heel in line with right arch.
Open up,
Warrior 2.
He's out over left finger.
Release into the shape.
Strong warrior of rainbow light.
Inhale,
Reverse warrior,
Open up.
Arch your side body.
Exhale.
Goddess pose.
So once again,
Toes point out.
Curl your tailbone under,
Squeeze your belly button in,
Engage your core.
Orange radiates from your sacral chakra,
Your reproductive area.
My body is sacred.
I'm creative.
Sacred magic was my beautiful body.
I am.
A guy.
Amazing.
Cartwheel your arm.
Once again,
Option to flow through.
Or just head to a Del Mar Facing Dog.
Well,
I'm going to help you.
Inhale,
Right leg high.
Exhale,
Warrior one.
So now.
Once again,
Right knee over right ankle.
But this time your left foot is gonna come onto separate train tracks here.
Right knee at a 90 degree bend.
Stacking over your ankle.
And your hips this time instead of squaring outward.
Are going to stay.
Squared forward the top of your mat.
Reach your arms nice and tall.
This is Warrior One.
Breathe here.
When you're ready,
Inhale,
Reach up.
Exhale,
Humble warrior,
Clasp your palms behind your back.
I release.
You're hiding that.
Let it hang nice and heavy.
Humble Warriors.
Nice hard opener.
A reminder that a great,
Confident leader is humble for one and for another leaves with the heart.
Open hearts.
That would hurt.
Melody.
Once again,
I slowly melt down to the earth,
Chatter on the inferior field events,
And downward-facing doll,
Knock,
Knock,
Knock.
We will all meet there.
Inhale,
Left leg high.
Exhale,
Warrior one.
Separate train track.
Left knee over left ankle.
Hips facing forward,
Inhale,
Reach tall.
Breathe into this sleep.
Feel your light warrior energy.
You are a warrior for good.
A warrior for positivity,
For rainbow magic.
Beautiful.
Inhale,
Reach up.
Exhale.
I am the warhead.
Press your palms,
Reach them up and back.
And always here you can bend your knees,
Bend your elbows as much as you need.
You're having that shame,
Honey.
Hello.
And slowly about.
It's humiliating.
Once again,
Chaturanga Dandasana.
Or a downward facing dog would be great.
And make our way all the way down to the earth.
We're going to do one core shape just to fire up that solar plexus a little bit more.
So your core,
It's your solar plexus,
It resonates yellow,
Bright yellow like the sun.
Think about suns,
Sunflowers,
Just like standing tall and bright and strong.
And in that thought,
With the affirmation or the mantra,
I shine radiantly.
Find yourself in a boat pox.
So both can look like this.
You can grab your thighs,
Bring your toes here.
Always remember to roll your shoulders back,
Reach and lead with the heart.
If this feels wonderful,
Maybe you do this.
Bring your toes up and align with your knees.
And again,
You can stay here.
Reach your arms out maybe.
But if you start to dip.
Remember,
Lead with the heart,
Pulling up,
Squeeze through the solar plexus,
Through your core,
Ignite.
You're Howard.
May you lengthen your lives,
Lengthen your arms for one quick little burst.
Finally,
Hand me a list.
Come through we have one more standing shape.
Okay.
So I'm going to do it facing this direction.
Eagle pelt.
I'm currently in Washington and I'm getting to see all these.
Bald eagles and they are the most majestic creatures I've ever seen so This is for them today.
Bring your arms out to a T.
We're gonna find the arm shake first.
Right arm underneath left.
Wherever you can.
Sit deep into your chair.
Can see this.
So as deep as you can,
Curl your tailbone under.
Knees together.
And you're going to bring your right leg down.
Up and over your left.
Find either a little kickstand with your toes.
Or you're just all day here.
A nice detoxifying twist here.
A little bit of balance and stability for you.
One more breath here,
You've got this.
And slowly release.
And balance it out always.
Left arm under it.
Sit nice and deep,
Curl your tailbone,
Engage your core,
Left leg up and over your right.
And sit deep.
Pull your elbows in line with your shoulders.
Find that nice opening in your shoulder blades and your back.
On more strong inhales.
And beautiful exhale,
Release.
We're gonna make our way down to the bathroom.
And by the way,
One of my favorite yoga poses,
I actually learned this at a yoga retreat from.
Gopi,
My beautiful friend,
And Rob Hems,
Who's a wonderful teacher.
He taught me.
It's called Hagasana.
So bring your arms up nice and wide.
Right,
Come around,
Give yourself a beautiful hug.
Heart chakra.
Pure love.
Anahata.
Is the Sanskrit word,
And that means unbroken,
Unstruck.
At your core,
At your essence,
You are just pure.
So.
.
.
Unconditional love,
And that's beautiful.
The color is green.
It also can be pink.
I like to mix green and pink up.
But if you're talking rainbow,
It's green.
And help open up.
Let's switch out those arms,
Whichever one wasn't by top.
Place it on top now.
I am sure unconditional love.
And I am loved.
How beautiful is that?
I'm really scared.
Now we're going to come to the top of our mat and standing on your knees.
Hip-width distance apart,
We're gonna find a nice soft camel.
We haven't warmed up too much,
Because this is a shorter class,
So don't overdo.
But when you're ready,
Place your palms.
On the palm of your pocket.
Your game pockets and your thumbs are going to be facing outwards,
Like this.
Elbows coming in towards one another.
Inhale,
Trace your gaze up,
Up,
Up,
Towards the sky or the ceiling,
Whatever you can see.
Leading with your chin and your chest.
To gaze all the way.
If this feels wonderful for you and it is in your practice,
Maybe reach for your heels.
Not necessary at all,
Please listen to your body.
Open mouth,
Breath through the air.
Awww.
Throat opening posture.
And I'm really slowly getting there.
Rise up one vertebra at a time.
Come down to a hero's pose,
Just sitting on your knees.
Maybe you close your eyes if that feels good to you.
Take a breather here.
It's a pretty intense shape.
And when you're ready,
Inhale through your nose.
Exhale,
Stick your tongue out.
Ha!
Called Lion's Breath,
And we're gonna do it a few more times,
Okay?
It's really fun if you just let it out.
Inhale.
Let everything out.
One more time,
Inhale.
The throat chakra resonates blue.
And I like to think of that affirmation as I express myself.
My heart is full of love and my throat allows me to express that love and share my getup.
So beautiful.
When you're ready,
We're going to slowly start to wind down our practice here.
So bring your baby,
Your babies,
Your own babies out wide,
Maybe to the edges of your mat.
You start to walk your palms out nice and long.
Let your forehead,
Your third eye.
Which is your sixth chakra.
To connect to the earth.
Maybe start to move your forehead from side to side,
Give it a nice little massage.
I invite you to stop and close your eyes here.
Release into this moment.
And connect to your third eye.
Your seat of intuition.
The space between your brows.
It resonates in the color indigo.
At D.
Dark.
Purple blue Then it's the space.
Where you can listen.
Trust.
See clearly.
There's ever a time when you're wondering,
What do I do?
What choice do I make?
All you have to do.
Is sit in the stillness.
Imagine or visualize this violet,
Indigo,
Deep purple third eye chakra in the middle of your eyes and the answer is.
.
.
We will ride.
Slowly they rise up from the deep.
From within you.
I see clearly.
And when you're finally ready to take your final shape,
Slowly rise up out of your child's comb,
Swing your legs around however you'd like.
Can make your way all the way down to our last shape.
Shavasana corpse pose.
This shape.
Is giving you a moment to connect with your crown chakra.
Your 7th chakra at the top of your head.
Of your faculty.
Your connection to the divine,
Your connection to source.
Energy.
Whatever you want to call it.
It resonates in the color violet or white.
I'll give you just a moment here.
To breathe.
You can visualize all 7 of your chakras from the root to the crown in perfect attunement.
And no.
I am divine.
You are divine.
This life is magical and sacred.
Can the rainbows prove it?
Can stay here as long as you'd like to.
If the rest of your day is calling to you,
Please.
.
.
Feel free to slowly rise up to an easy pose.
Bring your palms together out front,
Center back.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
For embracing the rain and the rainbows.
The light in me honors and recognizes the light in you.
Namaste.
