Hopefully most of us know that true beauty lies within. Well, If true beauty lies within, We should stop focusing on the things outside of ourselves to define ourselves. Looking in the mirror doesn't make us any more beautiful. Certainly critiquing and judging ourselves doesn't help with our self-esteem and the perception we have of ourselves. If we think the material things we accumulate in this life somehow makes us more attractive, Well you realize, They don't. No one remembers the stuff we had, Or the clothes we wore, Or how much jewelry we were wearing. Those things are just distractions. The true beauty, The true essence of us, It lies inside. It's independent of everything external. So certainly if true beauty lies within, We ought to stop focusing on the things outside of ourselves. Knowing all we have to do is focus on what we already hold inside. And that energy will give us the power to be the person that we want to be on the inside. The external stuff is temporary. That reflection in the mirror, Temporary. But what always remains is the energy we create inside and the love we offer to the people we touch. So certainly true beauty lies inside.
