Step into the rhythmic heartbeat of transformation. This 20-minute shamanic drum journey, with gentle guidance to begin, invites you into the sacred space where new life is conceived and born. Whether you're gestating a creative project, seeking answers to a pressing question, or feeling the stirrings of something wanting to emerge in your life, the drum will guide you to the liminal space where all new beginnings are possible. Have your journal ready—the wisdom that emerges often arrives quietly and wants to be witnessed on the page.

This is a drum journée for bursting something new.

This could be something new in your work or in your life or getting an answer to a question that you have.

So I'm going to invite you to make yourself comfortable,

Maybe lie down,

Maybe sit down depending on what you prefer.

Just make sure you have about 15 minutes in a space where you won't be disturbed and where you can be as comfortable as possible.

So you might want to have a shawl or a blanket with you.

Just make sure you can relax and enjoy the journey.

And I find it helpful to set an intention and to have some imagery to symbolize the process of the drum journée.

So you could imagine that you're crossing a bridge or crossing a doorway or going down a cave or going down the roots of a tree or going up a tree or going up a stairway,

Whichever gateway you imagine works best for you.

And I will structure the drumming with three drum beats after about a couple of minutes and then again three drum beats before the last couple of minutes to give you a chance to get ready,

Sink into the drumming rhythm and then a chance to come back and wrap up and come back before the end of the drumming so you're not halfway through your journey when the drumming finishes.

So just relax,

Let your mind be guided by the sound of the drum and enjoy the freedom and the creativity that comes with this process.

Come back into your body.

If it feels right for you,

You might want to write a few notes about what you learnt or saw or heard or felt during your journey so that you have the notes to look back on later if you wish.
