Thank you.

Let's begin by making the body as comfortable as possible.

Whether you are sitting in a chair with the back straight or lying down on a bed.

Just take a moment now to make yourself comfortable.

Making any small adjustments that you need to make.

This is time for you.

And this next 20 to 30 minutes is time for you to completely relax.

So just giving yourself the time now to prepare for that.

Noticing now all of the contact points where your body meets the surface that is supporting you.

The ground underneath your feet.

And the contact points along the body.

Behind the head.

Under the back.

Under the legs.

And we can use this time now to start to focus inwards.

Noticing the body.

Notice the breath.

So taking just 2 or 3 nice slow easy breaths.

Allowing the out breath to flow just a little longer.

And is the breath shallow or deep?

Does it feel soft?

Or maybe even a little bit ragged?

Just taking the time to notice,

To be aware of the flow of your breath in and out of your body.

Your breath supports you.

Keeps you alive.

Keeps you safe.

And brings all that wonderful fresh air in through the body.

Cleansing and detoxifying.

So taking a moment now to just notice that the beautiful flow of your life coming in and out of your body.

And as you notice the breath flowing in,

Down and through the whole body.

Maybe you can begin to notice that you start to feel a little more relaxed.

As the body begins to gently let go.

This is your time.

You are safe.

And you are safe to give yourself permission to rest.

To relax.

To let go.

And I really want you to give yourself that full permission.

That right now,

What your body and your mind needs is a deep,

Peaceful,

Relaxing rest.

This is a time for you to listen and respect your body's needs.

And in a period of recuperation or ill health,

It is the perfect time to nourish your body and mind with deep rest.

Rejuvenation.

A calm and peaceful time that you deserve and that everybody needs on a regular basis.

I would like you now to begin to imagine that as you breathe,

You are breathing in a coloured mist.

And this mist is cooling,

Calming and maybe you can imagine that that colour is beautiful blue.

A pale,

Aquamarine sea blue.

And this colourful mist is inhaled through the nose and flows down into the body.

And as you breathe out,

You breathe out clear,

Stale air.

And at first,

As you breathe in this calming,

Healing mist,

It begins to relax all of the muscles around the head and the forehead.

All of the lines and muscles just begin to smooth out,

To relax,

To let go of any tension.

You can notice that your eyes just feel so comfortably heavy as your eyelids sit in their natural resting place.

So heavy,

So comfortable that they couldn't even open if you wanted them to.

As all the little muscles around the eyes relax and smooth out.

And this beautiful,

Healing blue mist flows all around the face,

Over the nose and the cheeks,

Over the temples and the jaw.

Those points that naturally hold tension.

They begin to relax now and let go.

And this lovely wave of relaxation flows over the face and the back of the head and flows over the neck,

Down the throat and the back of the neck,

Over the shoulders.

And as you imagine this beautiful,

Relaxing mist soothing all of your muscles,

Relaxing and releasing tendons,

As you imagine this,

You really do begin to notice that they are feeling more and more relaxed.

A feeling of cooling blue mist flows over the chest and down the arms and the upper back,

Over the elbows,

The forearms,

The wrists and the hands.

Right down to the tips of your fingers.

This mist just flows in through and around your whole body,

Flowing through your muscles,

Around your muscles,

Relaxing,

Releasing,

Letting go.

And this beautiful,

Relaxing feeling flows down over the lower back and the stomach,

The pelvis and the buttocks and begins to flow down the legs.

And you can notice as you imagine your body relaxing,

It really does begin to relax,

Flowing down the thighs and the backs of the thighs,

Over the knees,

Through the knees,

Around the knees,

Down the shin and the calves.

The ankles,

The tops of the feet,

The bottoms of the feet and every single toe.

Until your whole body is completely surrounded in this beautiful,

Relaxing,

Flowing blue mist,

Healing,

Peaceful.

And as you start to really feel the body let go,

You can now allow the mind to let go,

Allow the mind to drift and flow.

And you can feel the body,

Heavy,

Soft,

Relaxed over here,

But the mind can begin to drift over there somewhere else.

And in your mind's eye,

You can notice that you are standing at the top of a sandy path and this path leads down to a beach.

And you start to walk very slowly down this path,

There are steps leading down to the beach with trees,

Just small trees shading the path.

And as you go down each step,

You feel more comfortable,

More relaxed,

Down and down every step,

Until you reach the bottom.

And when you reach the bottom,

You can feel the warm sand on your feet and the breeze that brings all of those delicious scents of the water of the beach.

And looking out,

I want you to look along your beach.

Maybe this is a beach that you know,

That you have been to and enjoyed,

A place where you have felt just so relaxed and peaceful.

Or maybe this is a new beach,

Your own personal beach created in your mind,

Where you are safe and you can just feel so relaxed.

And looking out over the ocean,

Noticing the sparkle of sunlight on that huge expanse of water,

The pale blue of the sky,

Maybe just a few clouds drifting by.

And just feeling the warm sun on your skin,

At just the right level for you.

And there is a beautiful cooling breeze that you feel on your hair,

On your skin,

On your face.

And take a walk along this personal beach of yours.

You can hear the sound of the water lapping against the sand.

All of the beautiful sounds that you love from the beach are there.

And this is your beach,

Your time to heal and rest and absorb all that you need to allow your mind and body to be deeply refreshed.

Walking along your beach,

You can go towards the shoreline,

Feeling the cool water against your feet.

You really do begin to sense that this is a very special place that called you here,

Right now,

At this time.

When you really do need it and can benefit from all the healing power that the ocean has.

Walking along the sand,

You notice ahead of you some rocks against the water's edge.

And as you get closer,

You see a beautiful,

Natural rock pool that has formed on the water's edge.

The stones are smooth and inviting.

This is a very special healing pool where you can step inside,

Completely safe and comfortable.

You can feel the cooling,

Relaxing,

Refreshing water on your skin and body.

So climb inside now.

It's just the right temperature,

Just the right depth for you to immerse yourself comfortably.

All that water flowing over your body as you relax in this pool.

The warm sun on your skin,

The cooling water all over you.

And as you begin to really relax in this wonderful,

Natural healing place,

The water begins to flow right through you.

Through every muscle,

Every tendon,

Every cell.

And as it flows through you,

It begins to release any toxins or negative emotions or uncomfortable sensations that are in your body.

And as it begins to soothe the body,

You notice little bubbles,

Almost like oil floating up to the top of the surface of the water.

And they flow away.

As the water flows around your legs and feet and moves right through you,

It's healing restorative powers flowing right through you.

All those little bubbles just break free,

Unblocked,

Shifted up to the surface.

Anything that your body no longer needs,

It can release safely now.

And the water moves through the stomach and the back and the chest and the arms,

Soothing,

Relaxing,

Healing water.

All that ancient wonder of the sea that for millions of years have flowed and nourished this planet and held all that life.

All of that can begin to work its way through and around you now,

Cleansing your whole body right down to the cellular level,

Healing you in a deep,

Restorative way.

And all those little bubbles of tension,

Of toxic energy,

Of negativity,

Of blocks can begin to flow freely from your body now.

And be replaced by the wonderful,

Endless,

Restoring purity of the natural world,

Of the ocean.

Allow your head to flow into the water too and let it flow all around your neck and head,

Going right through you,

Clearing the mind.

Let anything that you are ready to let go of flow out now.

You are safe.

And let it just release as those little bubbles that just float to the top of the water and are pulled away by the natural ebb and flow of the ocean,

Replacing the old,

Stale,

Toxic energy with fresh,

Clean,

Healing energy from the water.

And the body can feel so refreshed,

Rejuvenated.

How wonderful to give your body and mind this precious gift of time,

Of healing,

Of a renewed perspective.

You have full permission to heal,

To restore,

To refresh your body and mind.

Your body and mind has an inner wisdom.

It knows what you need right now.

And let that begin to flow through you now,

As you truly listen to your body's needs,

Your body's natural cycle of rest and movement,

Of the incoming and outcoming tide.

And you can take the time to rest in this healing place as long as you need.

It is time now to prepare to leave this place.

So take a last few moments to enjoy the beauty,

The serenity,

The innate wisdom of this place.

And remembering that this place exists within you.

Deep within your mind,

You have a place of safety and peace and comfort that is deeply healing and restoring for you.

And you can access that at any time you wish.

So begin to leave your pool and make your way back along the sand,

Feeling that breeze,

Looking out over that endless horizon,

Watching the sunlight on the water.

What wonders lie out there?

An endless limitless expanse of water and sky.

What lies out there waiting for you?

And you can begin to make your way back to the steps that lead away from your private beach.

And as you walk up the steps,

The body and mind begin to stir from its deep rest and energy begins to flow into your arms and legs and body and mind.

Until when you get to the top of your steps,

You can feel refreshed,

Rejuvenated,

Alive,

Feeling a flow of energy in your body that feels so good.

If you are ready for a sleep,

You can allow yourself to just drift away now into a beautiful,

Deep and restful sleep.

Or if you are going to wake up and continue with your day,

You can move your fingers and hands now and prepare yourself to open your eyes.

Take in your surroundings,

The room you are in,

And carry on with your day,

Feeling relaxed,

Refreshed,

Rejuvenated,

Ready to enjoy the rest of your day.
