Let's begin by creating a little nest to rest by making yourself very comfortable.
Find a calm and quiet place to lay down and just relax.
Wherever you are,
Be comfortable,
Be cozy.
Lay down and close your eyes now.
Just listen for a moment to the sounds around you and relax.
And maybe you begin now to realize how you can slowly feel your breath.
How you relax just a little more with every breath.
How you can feel your chest rising with every inhale.
And how you can feel your chest falling with every exhale.
With every long inhale you feel air streaming into your body.
With every exhale you feel it streaming out of your body.
With every deep long inhale you feel your lungs filling with air.
With every deep long exhale you feel your whole body emptying and relaxing.
With every breath you feel yourself letting go of any tension.
With every breath you allow yourself to invite more and more relaxation and ease into your body.
Feel yourself relaxed,
One part of your body after another relaxes more and more and more.
Aware of your forehead softening,
Your cheeks softening,
Releasing even your tongue from the roof of your mouth and soften your jaw.
Relaxing your face,
Your neck,
Shoulders melting,
Softening.
Your nose feeling heavy,
Releasing down to your fingertips.
Relaxing any weight in the chest or your tummy,
Your back,
Your hips,
Your legs feeling heavy on the front and along the backside,
Down to the tips of your toes,
Feeling your whole body now,
Whole body soft and relaxed.
There's nothing else to do right now.
No way to do this practice wrong.
Everything is just as it should be.
Relaxed and safe.
Relaxed and safe.
And slowly your body and soul now begin to journey into another space and time away from here to a different place.
And you find yourself on a beautiful beach.
See yourself here in your mind's eye and notice how you feel.
You're lying on a blanket warmed by the warm sand below.
You're all by yourself here,
A secret place you come to to recharge and to learn about yourself.
Take a full deep breath in.
The air smells of salt.
It smells fresh.
It smells of freedom.
So close to the ocean you feel relaxed.
So happy just to be here.
Just to be.
Allow yourself a moment now to simply enjoy and relax.
It's all here for you.
Just for you.
Listening to rhythm of the waves like a rhythm that you know from a long,
Long time ago.
The ocean speaks the language of your soul.
Listen so closely.
Just listen.
And the sound of the waves invite you to come closer to the water.
Feeling sand between your toes brings back childhood joys.
And castles,
Rumming,
Ice cream,
Watermelon.
As you dip your feet into the refreshing ocean you feel more connected and alive.
It's just for you here alone in this beautiful paradise where your soul has so much space.
So much space.
And then you begin to feel a deeper pull,
A deep desire to dive right into the ocean,
To be part of it,
To be in it.
And as the next wave rolls towards you,
You dive right in into the crystal clear water.
Your face feels refreshed.
Whole body cooled.
You feel light because the water is carrying you.
The water is carrying you,
Trusting the ocean to hold you.
You feel buoyant and joyful.
And decide to lean your body back and let go of any movements.
You are floating and the ocean is carrying you.
The water is supporting you.
And you take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
You are part of the ocean,
Floating safely in its embrace.
Water rocks your body gently.
Rocks your body gently.
You are safe and carried by the ocean,
Loved by the universe just as you are.
You feel the sun on your face,
Smiling now,
Warm rays of sun on your eyelids as your body is carried by the endless ocean.
The endless ocean.
And you give thanks to the ocean and breathe once again,
Feeling ready to swim back to the beach.
Stepping out of the cool ocean to see your special blanket.
You come back from this little journey,
Settling onto your blanket,
Feeling refreshed and awake.
And open your eyes and find yourself in the here and now again.
As you sit back up from your nest,
Reach now for your journal and your pen.
You're going to go back again to your inner source,
To the most potent power you have and tether to your inner ocean of trust.
And create now a What I Trust list.
As a ritual,
Focus on the present moment.
This is not about generating a visual outcome or positive thinking.
Just focus on what you are reliably experiencing as truth right in this moment.
Strain your consciousness and just let it pour out of you.
Be aware of language like I'm supposed to believe.
Just don't think.
Feel into your truth.
The list can be short or long,
Expansive or trivial.
You might begin with something like,
I trust my next breath will come.
I trust the sun will rise tomorrow.
Feel as you write,
Feel your truth and embody your truth.
And let yourself be grounded over and over by each truth.
And continue to whatever point feels complete for you,
Knowing that you can return to this practice whenever you need to for a dose of grounding or foundational trust.
