Hello,

My name is Seth David Clark.

I am so delighted that you are praying along with me today,

And more importantly,

Along with the ancient scriptures.

Today in this moment,

We will be praying along with Psalm 46.

You will hear the scripture twice in its entirety,

And then I will leave you with an adaptation of the scripture to move you into a time of silence.

So let us begin.

Psalm 46 God is our refuge and strength,

A very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear,

Though the earth be removed,

And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,

Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

Selah There is a river.

The streams thereof shall make glad the city of God,

The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her.

She shall not be moved.

God shall help her.

And that right early.

The heathen raged.

The kingdoms were moved.

He uttered his voice.

The earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Selah Come,

Behold the works of the Lord.

What desolations he hath made in the earth.

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth.

He breaketh the bow.

And cutteth the spear in sunder.

He burneth the chariot in the fire.

Be still and know I am God.

I will be exalted among the heathen.

I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord of hosts is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Selah And again in a different English translation,

God is our refuge and strength,

A very present help in trouble.

For we won't be afraid,

Though the earth changes,

Though the mountains are shaken into the hearts of the seas,

Though its waters roar and are troubled,

Though the mountains tremble with their swelling.

Selah There is a river,

The streams of which make the city of God glad,

The holy place of the tents of the Most High.

God is within her.

She shall not be moved.

God will help her at dawn.

The nations raged,

The kingdoms were moved,

He lifted his voice and the earth melted.

Yahweh of armies is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Come see Yahweh's works,

What desolations he has made in the earth.

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth.

He breaks the bow and shatters the spear.

He burns the chariots in the fire.

Be still and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations.

I will be exalted in the earth.

Yahweh of armies is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Selah And for this prayer,

We center on the verse that says,

Be still and know I am God.

And little by little,

We pare it down to be still and be.

So pray along with me,

And say this to your own soul and to your own heart.

Be still and know I am God.

Be still and know I am.

Be still and know.

Be still.

Be Be still and know I am God.

A beautiful meditation but I found the music to be distracting. Could the volume be turned down a bit? The rhythm was like walking and that is good. Thank you.
