Sound Bath Sessions 221: Marzie Chai

I flew to Kaohsiung from Korea and the next morning Marzie was my first session in Taiwan. The weather was much warmer and the parts of the city that I wandered around were much slower than the places where I had just been.

Marzie runs the Shinsekai Wellness Space, a vegan café in the Yancheng District. She holds wellness events in the basement including her sound bath sessions.

Marzie played two 'Fuxing' monochords designed and made by her sister in Taiwan, tubular chimes, and a Wave instrument.

Although there is only one note on her monochord, the harmonics of the instrument at times emits another sound almost like another woman singing. In this session, Marzie chants over the monochord.
