Sound Bath Sessions 215: Min Kyung Choi
I recorded Min Kyung Choi at her studio in Yeouido. It was after lunch and people were back at work. I remember a nice aroma was diffused in her space. She made me tea and we had a relaxing conversation about the sessions. I asked her about her notebook she was looking at between sessions and she said these were notes about the sequences in each session. She used these sequences to create a composition for the intention of the session. It was interesting to know that there are kind of 'building blocks' that a session can have to try to fulfill an intention. I usually sit up when I record to be able to operate the equipment but also to not fall asleep. The past week had been so tiring for me carrying all my stuff, I just needed to give my back a break and lie down for the last session… and of course I fell asleep. I had totally lost track of time. It was such a content feeling. I was full. It was everything and nothing.
