Sound Bath Sessions 120: Lily Lau, Felis Hui

Michelle Chow was part of the first batch of practitioners I recorded in 2023. She moved into a new space in Sheung Wan recently and mentioned that she had a few friends who focused on shamanic drumming that would be interested in participating in the project. Lily and Felis started learning shamanic drumming in 2017 and perform as a duo often.

This recording was a journey into the ocean. They both did some chanting and vocalizations mimicking ocean water sounds and using shakers creating in a very dramatic piece. At one point, Felis sang with words expressing emotions about the ocean.
