
Hypnagarden Yoga Nidra - Lavender Field

Make any of those last final adjustments.
Send the legs at least hips with distance,
Allow the feet to relax,
Maybe the toes to flop out to the sides.
Tuck and roll your shoulders under your back and relax your arms and the backs of your hands to the earth,
Palms up to receive energy for this beautiful day and give yourself just permission to be right here,
Right now,
In this sacred place for meditation.
You can let go of anything you've been clinging on to and just be here with your breath.
I invite you to keep your eyes closed throughout this whole meditation so that your body and your brain can cooperate and relax together as a unit.
When the body is relaxed,
The mind is relaxed and every round of breath takes you to that deeply relaxed state.
So just be aware of the breath.
Feel the breath entering in through the nostrils,
In through the throat and into the chest and then follow the flow of the breath outward,
Out of your open mouth.
Inhale,
Follow the breath in through the nostrils,
In through the throat and into the chest and then exhale,
Follow the breath out.
This is a really deep practice in meditation and as a reminder,
Try not to focus too hard but do stay awake.
Try to stay awake so we can plant the seeds of intention in that sweet spot,
That hypnagogic state,
The state of consciousness between weightfulness and sleeping.
So as a reminder,
Stay tethered to my voice.
You can use it as an anchor in this meditation as I guide you deeper and deeper into this deeply relaxed state.
And if you feel yourself drifting off,
There are techniques to come back slightly.
You could rub the pads of the fingertips together or even tap your finger on the floor.
If you feel like you're really drifting off into deep sleep,
Try to stay awake and aware.
And of course I'm going to be singing my bowls and just striking my mallets as an effort to remind you to stay awake.
In this healing Shavasana,
You want to allow yourself to move into a really deep state of relaxation.
So continue the awareness of your breath,
Just the awareness of the breath.
Nothing more,
Nothing less.
Clean and refreshing breath.
The purifying breath sending you in this moment.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
Notice the cadence and the pace.
Inhale through your nose,
Fill your rib cage all the way up,
Allow the collarbone to expand,
The chest to rise,
And then sigh the breath out.
Every round of breath presents a sense of surrender.
Physically,
Mentally,
Emotionally.
Just let go.
And do this in a similar way that you would unclench that balled up fist of the hand.
Soften your mind.
Soften all the muscles in your body.
Feel the breath allow the body to soften and settle.
And as you breathe in,
Invite a sense of love,
Gratitude,
Light.
Feel this light and love enter in through your nostrils and into the throat and into the chest and feel it expand in the pit of your heart.
And as you exhale,
Send it throughout your whole chest.
Feel it circulate and expand.
A sense of love,
Genuine gratitude for this moment and feel it expand.
Our gratitude prepares our heart chakra for the seeds of our intention.
The heart chakra is the garden of the soul.
So we prepare it with genuine gratitude,
Genuine love and feel it fully.
And it's from this place we're going to set a sankalpa set three times silently to ourselves.
And this is a positive affirmation based on your heart's desire.
And it could be anything you want to manifest in your life.
It could be a situation you'd like to see happen,
A relationship.
It could be seeing a flaw work out.
It could be anything you truly desire,
A career change.
And we create an affirmation based on this heart desire set actively as though it's happening right now.
For example,
I'm now attracting and creating prosperity in my life.
Create your own intention and allow yourself five rounds of breath to arrive on your intention.
Five rounds of breath.
Stage your sankalpa three times silently to yourself and say it as though it's happening right now.
Keep your mind alert as we now rotate our consciousness around the mandala of the body to different points.
And this is going to move rather quickly to maintain the flow of awareness.
Try not to focus too hard,
But just relax that body part as I mentioned it and just be aware of it.
Begin with your whole body and just send your awareness to your entire body.
Feel it as vibration,
Pure sensation from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.
And from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head.
Soften and be aware of your entire body.
Now send your awareness to just the right side of your body and soften the right side.
Just the right side.
Soften your right hand.
Explore it as vibrant sensation,
Tingling.
Soften the right thumb.
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Fifth finger.
Soften the palm of the right hand.
Right wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder and armpit.
Soften your entire right arm from shoulder to fingertips.
Feel it and explore it as vibrant sensation.
Soften your right hip.
Glute,
Thigh,
Knee,
Shin,
Ankle,
Top of the right foot,
Sole of the right foot.
Right big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
Go a little bit deeper,
Receive your breath fully and exhale completely.
Do not sleep.
Stay awake and aware.
Relax the left side of your body now.
Explore the left side as tingling sensation.
Explore the sensation in your left hand.
Your left thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Fifth finger.
Soften the palm of the left hand as vibrant sensation.
Explore that sensation in the left hand.
The left wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder and armpit.
Now the entire left arm from shoulder to fingertips.
Feel it as vibrant sensation.
Soften your left hip.
Glute,
Thigh,
Knee,
Shin,
Ankle,
Top of the left foot,
Sole of the left foot,
Left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
Relax and receive the breath fully.
And then exhale completely.
Explore both of your heels on the floor together and soften both of the soles of the feet together to the tips of the toes.
Soften your calf together.
Explore the sensation of your hips to the floor and soften your thighs.
And feel the connection of your hips and your glutes,
The connection from the hips to the earth.
And feel the earth below you.
Soften your back and torso.
The shoulders is heavy.
Soften the back of the neck.
Explore the back of the neck as vibrant sensation,
Tingling and softening.
And then soften the base of the head,
The shoulders together.
Explore vibrant sensation at the top of your head.
Feel it,
Explore it as tingling.
Feel that connection,
The gateway to your crown chakra,
Divine energy invited in.
And draw in that divine energy,
That heat,
That pure light,
Purifying the mind,
Invited into the mind,
The center of the mind,
Between the eyes.
And feel a light,
A white light,
Purifying the mind,
Illuminating and softening the forehead and softening the center of the mind to the back of the head.
And continue your awareness of the eyebrow center.
Purify and soften your cheeks,
Your jaw.
Relax your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
And soften your ears,
The inner ear and the outer ears together.
Feel it as tingling.
Soften the throat,
The heart,
The belly,
The pit of the belly.
Explore a sensation of light at the very center of your navel.
Feel it as tingling,
Light,
Heat.
As you breathe in,
Draw in that sensation of tingling at the center of your belly.
Ignite the center of your belly and then soften it.
Soften the tops of your legs,
Your whole body relaxed.
Vibrant sensation.
Explore a heaviness to the body.
Feel the body is very,
Very heavy.
The bones like weights,
Lead,
Sinking into the earth,
Grounded.
The shoulders like weights.
The hips,
The heels,
Grounded.
The head is grounded.
Both legs are heavy,
Both arms are heavy.
The torso.
Every round of breath,
The body gets heavier and heavier,
Sinking into the earth.
Do not sleep.
Stay awake.
Explore a lightness to the body.
Begin to feel weightless.
The legs are really light,
Like a feather.
Floating.
With the air currents.
The arms are weightless,
Really light.
Allow the arms to be light and weightless.
The torso is light.
The head is so weightless,
Like a helium balloon.
The whole body,
Light,
Weightless.

Try to picture them the best that you can.
Just jump from image to image without focusing too hard.
Endless starlit sky.
Endless starlit sky.
Weeping willow tree.
Lavender fields in full bloom.
Red rose.
Blue dot.
Warm sand under cold feet.
Blue drops on green grass.
Peacock feather.
Bright teal.
Brilliant purple.
Glowing orange sunrise.
Glowing orange sunrise.
Indigo fields.
Soaring eagle.
Widow kneeling in prayer.
Golden sunflower.
Wheels rolling on a gravel road.
Sand slipping through fingers.
Waves breaking on a private beach.
Sunset over the ocean.
Sunset over the ocean.
Endless rolling waves.
Dirt path in the country.
Warm blue summer sky.
Field of lavender blowing in the wind.
Take some time in this field of lavender now.
Enjoy this oasis of beauty all around you.
It's in the middle of summer and the lavender is in full bloom.
An incredible feast for the eyes.
Take it all in.
All of the vivid shades of purple.
Glorious hues of violet.
Scattered hints of plum.
And the lavender field seems infinite.
It goes on and on.
Row upon row of spiky blooms.
Enchanting your vision.
All of the lavender blooms flow and dance in the rhythm of a warm summer breeze blowing gently.
Watch the undulating rolling waves of purple billow in the wind.
Billowing to the rhythm of your heartbeat.
Take in the rolling purple waves billowing to the rhythm of your heartbeat.
Though there are many bees you can walk through this field if you like.
They mean you no harm.
They draw up rich pollen all around you and they leave you alone.
Enjoy these fields in harmony with these earthly creatures.
The fields burst with this heavenly fragrance.
Take it in through your nostrils.
Draw up this intoxicating aroma.
Breathe it in.
The freshness of this aroma has a calming effect on your whole body.
It draws peace into your heart.
Just take it in.
Take in the glory of the fields and the sun that nears its way to the horizon.
In the middle of this field there is a lone ancient olive tree.
The trunk of this mystical tree is twice the size of its height.
Very large round trunk.
Its roots and trunk are gnarled and twisted.
There are knots wound within the bark and they create mystical patterns.
Walk up to this tree and gaze at this mystical tree.
It's ancient.
This tree has a soul and it draws you in.
Walk up to this tree so you can place your palm on this ancient being.
Feel the texture of the bark underneath your palm and a connection.
Feel and sense a wisdom to this ancient tree.
Connect to all the earthly energies and gaze up at the light between the lance shaped leaves of this ancient tree.
Gaze at the glimmer between the leaves and draw in all this light into your third eye.
Illuminating the eyebrows.
Feel this light pulsate between the eyebrows at the eyebrow center into the center of your mind.
As if you're breathing through your third eye.
Draw it in.
Illuminating the mind so you can see your sankalpa very clearly now.
Fill in details to make your sankalpa,
Your intention,
As real as possible and see it within this light like it's a movie screen.
And see yourself enjoying it and feel the realness in your heart.
Enjoy it.
Put in all the details.
And feel it deeply in your heart.
And state your sankalpa three times silently again to yourself in this beautiful place of awareness.
Within this light,
Illumination.
Your sankalpa is the truth.
It is the truth.
So be it.
So it is.
