Peaceful Sleep Meditation

Restless mind? Can't sleep? I’ve created a calming meditation to help you to unwind, no matter how anxious you’ve been feeling. No meditation experience is needed, and the track is suitable for all ages (even children). It uses imagery of a wishing tree and shooting stars. This is a peaceful sleep meditation.

It can be done before you go to bed in the evening or any time that you need a wonderful deep nap.

Sleep is a very special time when your soul and your spirit guides can come in and repair any damage,

Any pain that you have sustained during your day in your human body.

It takes a great deal of energy for spirit to meet us halfway in sleep.

We surrender the control of our mind,

Our vibration lifts,

Making it easy for spirit to come in and heal.

Let's begin by lying down or sitting down.

If you are sitting down make sure you have both feet on the ground to help yourself stay truly connected.

We're going to take three slow and deep inhalations and exhalations.

Breath 1,

Breath 2 and breath 3.

Picture yourself in a beautiful forest,

You're standing at the edge of the forest and all around you are healthy,

Vibrant,

Living trees.

You can hear birds,

The leaves are rustling.

You see a path leading into the forest,

The path is sparkling,

It looks safe.

Look down and see your feet,

Start walking down the path noticing how peaceful,

Natural and perfect this forest is.

As you walk through the forest you notice that your back and your shoulders feel a little heavy and this is because they are carrying any cares,

Worries or concerns you have accumulated recently.

As you continue through the forest the trees start to thin and in front of you,

You see a beautiful flat area where the sun is shining brightly.

In the centre of this scene is an extremely large tree.

It looks different to the others,

It looks alive,

It looks glowing.

You feel a great peace come across you as you gaze upon this tree,

It feels very familiar,

Very kind,

Almost like a parent figure in a good way.

At the base of the tree is a basket and in that basket are many small golden bags.

As you walk to the base of the tree you're going to take each of your worries,

You're going to name them and place each one into a golden pouch.

Begin placing your worries into the pouches and laying the pouches to one side.

There is no limit to how many you can use,

I suggest you start with at least 3 or 4.

Once you have a pile of these pouches,

Look up and you're going to see beautiful tiny angels coming towards you like a golden cloud,

Many many tiny angels and each of them is going to pick up one of these pouches,

It's going to fly up to the tree and tie it to a branch.

Watch as your worries are lifted up into the tree and connected to the tree and you can feel that as each worry is attached the tree sighs in the most sympathetic way,

It understands the gravity of what you have been carrying and it loves you so much that it is willing to take those worries and hold them so that you can get a good night's rest or peaceful nap.

Now take a step back and look at the tree and you can see these beautiful glistening pouches and as you step back the tree gives it's shake and you notice that these pouches start to dissolve and as they dissolve into the tree,

The tree glows golden,

It absorbs any stress that you have given it,

It transmutes it into life force,

It sends it into mother earth where it can be taken care of completely.

You thank the tree and turn and to one side you see an extremely comfortable bed.

I'm going to get you to lie down now and it is the softest,

Most cosy,

Most peaceful,

Sweet smelling bed you can imagine and as you lie down you feel completely loved and nurtured,

Your shoulders and your back feel completely free of any stress.

As you look up from the bed,

It turns from day until night and all you can see are stars,

Stars all the way across the galaxy,

Stars reminding you that you are a visitor on earth,

You have been here so many times,

That you are important and valuable and that the universe supports your life purpose and you in every single moment.

As you lie on the bed,

You start to deeply let go,

Relax your toes,

Relax your feet,

Relax your ankles,

Allowing your calves and your knees to soften,

Melting your thighs and your hips into the bed,

Feeling from the hips all the way to your toes,

Your legs are heavy and supported,

Sinking deeper,

Relaxing and softening your belly,

Opening your heart and your lungs,

Feeling your spine supported by the bed,

Allowing each vertebrae to relax,

Flowing the relaxation down your shoulders,

Your arms,

Softening your elbows,

Your hands,

Allowing any stress to flow out your fingers,

So that from the neck down to your toes,

You're feeling more and more comfortable,

Relaxed and cared for.

Now,

Relaxing all the muscles,

The hard-working muscles of your neck,

Your chin,

Your cheeks,

Releasing around your eyes,

And your nose,

Relaxing your forehead and your scalp,

Even relaxing all the hair and hairs on your body,

And as you lie there in the bed looking up at the stars,

You see one of those stars fall to the earth,

And you know this is a sign that it's time to let go,

To complete your mission for the day,

You know this is a sign that there is infinite time for you to accomplish whatever you need to do as a soul,

No need to worry.

I'm going to count down from 10 to 1,

And when I get to 1,

This track will end,

And you will feel deeply able to go to sleep,

When you wake up,

You will feel extremely refreshed,

At peace and complete.
