Welcome to Yoga with Samira.

This is a 10 minute chakra visualization meditation.

No prior meditation experience is needed.

If it's available to you,

Find a comfortable seat on the floor,

Placing your legs below your hips.

Feel free to prop yourself up with a cushion,

A block or folded blanket or come into cross-legged position.

Otherwise,

Sit in a chair.

In either case,

Have both of your feet grounded on the floor.

Adjust the flesh of your buttocks so it feels fairly symmetrical back there and notice if you can be even 10% more comfortable as this becomes our meditative seat for our practice.

Place your hands on your lap,

Facing them with the palms open to receive energy.

Sit up straight,

Keeping integrity in your back and form.

Keep your mouth closed and breathe through your nose.

Close your eyes softly.

Now we will commence meditation and my voice will guide you to come out when ready.

Inhale,

Fill the belly,

Expand the ribs,

Fill the chest with air.

Exhale,

Pull the navel to the spine as you lift your pelvic floor.

Inhale,

Imagine your rib cage surrounded by feathers floating open.

Exhale,

Let all of the breath go.

Inhale,

Breathe into any area where there is tension.

Exhale,

Let that tension melt into the ground.

On your next inhale,

Imagine a shimmering ball of light,

A soft silvery moon in the center of your body.

This moon has transient properties,

Changing color as it journeys through your spine.

If at any point in the visualization that follows you become aware of your thoughts,

Let them pass and come back to this silvery moon in the center of your body.

Starting at the base of the spine,

The root chakra,

Imagine the moon glowing red.

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I do all acts knowing that I am peaceful,

Protected and secure.

As the moon journeys upwards to the space below your belly button,

The sacral chakra,

Imagine it glowing on orange.

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I feel creative and beautiful.

I enjoy a creative and passionate life.

As the moon journeys upwards to the space between your belly button and breastbone,

The solar plexus chakra,

Imagine the moon glowing yellow.

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I can manifest my dreams.

I am empowered and successful in all of my ventures.

As the moon journeys upwards to the heart,

The heart chakra,

Imagine it glowing green.

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I love from my heart unconditionally and effortlessly.

Love is the answer to everything in life.

As the moon journeys upwards to the throat,

The throat chakra,

Imagine the moon glowing blue.

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I express myself authentically and clearly.

My thoughts are positive and I am heard.

As the moon journeys upwards to the space between your eyebrows,

The third chakra,

Imagine the moon glowing purple.

As the moon journeys upwards to the surface,

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I know myself,

I am intuitive with universal wisdom.

As the moon journeys upwards towards the crown of your head,

The crown chakra,

Imagine it glowing a bright white.

As it floats here,

Repeat to yourself,

I am complete and one with divine energy.

As we bring our visualization to a close,

The moon returns to its silvery haze,

Resting back in the center of your body where it started.

On your next inhale,

Bring your hands to prayer at your chest.

Dip the chin slightly and bring the top of your tongue to the roof of your mouth.

Rub your hands to create some heat between your palms.

Cup the heels of your hands over your eyes.

Flutter your eyes open in your hands to let the light in.

When you're ready,

Place your palms back on your lap.

Reconnect with your surroundings.

This brings a close to our meditation together.
