Call to courage,
Cave visualisation.
So beginning by finding yourself a super cosy spot,
Somewhere you can really relax and go within.
If you need to grab a cushion or a blanket or something to make your space even more cosy and comfortable,
You can do this now.
And this visualisation can be done either sitting or lying down.
And now gently beginning to close your eyes if that feels comfortable,
Or to simply lower your gaze.
And as you begin to settle,
Just start to notice the parts of you that are connected to the ground or surface beneath you.
And really gently allowing your energy to rest and have some space.
That's right.
And when you're ready,
Let's take some belly breaths together.
You may wish to put one hand on your belly as we take a deep breath in,
Breathing into courage,
Holding,
Noticing any tingling or sensations,
And then releasing on the out breath,
You may wish to make a sound.
And again,
A nice deep belly breath in,
Breathing into courage,
Holding,
And then releasing,
Really beginning to anchor yourself,
Arriving into the safety of your presence and centring.
And if you're noticing that some special protection is needed today,
Just allowing that to be there in whichever creative form this takes.
Perhaps even inviting in some of the energy of your courageous role model.
I want you to imagine that you are about to enter a dark cave.
It is a cave that you are afraid to enter and yet you know holds some valuable treasures inside.
How big is the cave?
What strikes you most about it?
Just allowing any images of the cave to appear in your mind's eye,
Noticing how it looks.
What can you hear,
Smell,
Taste,
Sense?
Which feelings are present as you approach the cave?
What are you most aware of in yourself?
Slowly,
You begin to make your way in.
What is the temperature like inside?
What do the walls feel like?
Noticing the textures and qualities of the cave.
And taking time to acknowledge how it feels to be walking into the dark.
To explore the unknown.
And the great courage that this takes.
If some uncomfortable emotions are present,
Simply noticing them and holding yourself with self-compassion as you go deeper inside.
And when you reach the centre of the cave,
You notice your eyes gradually beginning to adjust.
As you slowly acclimatise,
You start to realise that by facing into the place you feared,
You are being somehow rewarded for your courage.
Indeed,
There is a special,
Important and quite unexpected personal gift being shown to you.
What is the gift here?
Again,
Just allowing any images or words,
Impressions to come forward.
What is the treasure found in this cave?
What shape or form does it have?
What is the message here?
What can you attain for yourself when you go beyond fear?
Who are you when you choose courage over comfort?
And taking a moment to place one hand on your heart space and really to connect in with your intuition.
And begin to tune in to what your personal core to courage is.
Inside of yourself or allowed,
Make a commitment to what is really important in your life.
And you can use the structure,
I am a commitment to.
And once you have made your commitment,
Let's really lock this in by breathing into it.
Again,
Taking a nice,
Slow,
Deep belly breath in to your commitment.
And then letting go on the out breath.
And I really want to acknowledge the courage that you have shown in going here today.
And embracing your commitment,
Your call to courage.
Gently beginning to have a little stretch.
Maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Slowly,
Gently returning into the physical body and the room.
Really just taking a moment to appreciate yourself.
Maybe giving yourself a hug.
Stroking your own hand.
Just showing yourself a little bit of self love here.
And as you begin to come back,
I invite you to take a couple of minutes to journal on this experience.
And I would really love to hear your personal call to courage.
