Humility

My late Father was a pure inspiration. Genuine in every sense of the word and one of the most humble people that I am proud to say I have known. His humility brought him and those around him great peace. This poem is a tribute to the greatest lesson that he ever taught me. I hope that it too brings you some sense of grounding and acceptance. This is a poem inspired by my amazing dad and it's called Humility.

Humility's the knowing there is much I do not know.

Humility is gratitude and going with the flow.

Humility is bowing to my perfect imperfection.

Humility is showing who I am.

It's true connection.

Humility is doing what I can with love and grace.

Humility is great reverence for nature's healing space.

Humility is openness,

The willingness to change.

Humility accepts that which my mind cannot explain.

Humility is tolerance,

Allowances and faith.

It's noticing I'm fortunate when I am warm and safe.

Each circumstance is showing me more ways that I can grow.

Humility is knowing there is much I do not know.
