Birth Writes

This little poem is intended to inspire you to put pen to paper and to unleash the poet within. When we transfer our thoughts and feeling to the page, a kind of alchemy takes place, and the poem writes itself. I believe that we are all born creative and that it is just a matter of giving yourself full permission to express. I would love to hear from you if you did begin writing some poetry, especially if it is your first time!

Birth writes,

We all have a poet inside us,

A voice that desires to speak.

We all have a knowing that guides us,

A spirit that calls us to seek.

We all have the will to confess it,

That thing that can burn deep inside.

Creating can help us express it,

And we do not know till we've tried.

May our rational minds not deny us.

We must not be prolific word geeks.

Let's give wings to the poet inside us.

Let's take flight as our tender hearts speak.
