Take a moment to get comfortable in your seat,
Making sure both your feet are firmly planted on the ground and that your spine is nice and straight,
Shoulders away from your ears.
And start taking a deep breath in through your nose and then breathing out through your mouth,
Continuing at your own pace,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
With every breath in,
You're sending your breath to the places and spaces that feel tight and tense.
And with each breath out,
You're just letting everything go,
Noticing your body relaxing.
Keep breathing at your own pace.
Just noticing the sensations.
It's totally okay if your mind wanders,
That's totally normal.
Each time you catch your mind wandering,
You bring your attention back to your breath,
In through your nose and breathing out through your mouth.
Just noticing the sensations in your body and the temperature of your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
Now take your right hand and place it on your heart and put your left hand on your stomach.
Again,
Just noticing your chest rising and falling with each breath in and each breath out.
Just noticing the sensations in your body,
Noticing your body relaxing deeper and deeper.
Now in front of you,
There's a light in the air,
Now in front of you,
There is a time machine.
You can see this time machine and you start walking towards it.
You open the door and you step inside,
Closing the door behind you.
There's a button in front of you,
The button will take you to the future.
You press this button.
You are now in the future,
You open the door and you step outside,
Closing the door behind you.
In the distance,
You can see your future self.
Your future self is smiling and waving to you.
They're calling you over.
You start walking towards your future self.
You're approaching your future self and you can see how they look,
You can see their face clearly.
Just notice their appearance,
Notice their energy.
Your future self invites you to come and sit next to them.
You take a seat.
They're happy to see you.
You have lots of questions for them.
You take a moment and you start sharing everything that's happening to you and a particular situation that perhaps is a bit challenging for you.
You're seeking the guidance and wisdom from your future self.
As you share,
Your future self listens to you intently.
And once you stop sharing,
You ask them,
What do you need to know about this situation?
What advice do they have for you?
What does your future self tell you?
What does your future self want you to know about this situation?
What else do you notice about your future self?
What's their energy like?
How do they appear to you?
How might your future self approach the situation now that you have their wisdom?
If there are any other questions that you want to ask your future self,
Now is the time to ask them.
And to wait for their wisdom and guidance that will come up.
Notice what your future self shares with you and shares what's important.
And take a moment to acknowledge them and to thank your future self for all the wisdom and guidance that they are sharing.
Just noticing what's happening between the two of you.
And perhaps thinking,
What did your future self do to get to this space?
What do they want you to know about where you are now versus where you could be in the future?
And what are some things that might help you get there?
And now it comes time to part company.
And you want to express your gratitude to your future self.
Take a moment to say thank you and say your goodbyes and maybe embrace them.
And now you start walking away,
Walking towards the time machine.
And you turn back and you give your future self a wave.
And you thank them for their generosity.
You're feeling immense gratitude right now.
And you keep walking now towards that time machine.
You've approached something that you've never seen before.
You're back at the time machine.
You open the door,
Step inside,
Closing the door behind you.
And this time there's a button in front of you that will take you to the present moment.
You press that button and you're now in the present.
You open the door and you step outside and you're back here in this present moment in the here and now.
Take a moment to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes to bring you back into this space.
And maybe you want to have a stretch here.
And just gently when you're ready,
You can start opening your eyes.
And take a moment to perhaps grab a journal,
Grab a pen and capture the wisdom that was shared by your future self.
And remember,
You can access your future self at any time.
They reside within you.
And you have the power to be able to access that.
All you need to do is take a few deep breaths and ask your future self questions.
And your future self will answer you.
The only thing is the future self must be invited.
Therefore,
You must take the time to ask them questions before the wisdom is shared.
