A meditation on loving and listening.
Take a moment to get comfortable in your space.
You may decide to be seated or you may choose to lie down.
I invite you to do whatever feels most nourishing for you in this moment.
Taking the time to make yourself comfortable.
Taking the time to show yourself love,
Care and attention.
As you gently come into this space of relaxation,
Of listening to yourself and showing yourself love,
I invite you to take some gentle and deep breaths in and out.
Just noticing what it feels like to give yourself this time,
To give yourself this space.
Gently forgiving yourself if you feel like your mind is noisy and if you feel like your thoughts are feeling a bit chaotic and you're finding it hard to come to stillness.
Know that that is okay,
Know that all of you is welcome here and know that you are already enough and you are already being loving to yourself and listening to yourself.
The very fact that you are playing this meditation and creating time for you demonstrates that.
So gently acknowledge and celebrate yourself for that and continue to invite your breath in and to let it go,
Deepening,
Softening and relaxing with each exhalation.
If you're noticing certain places or spaces inside of you that are feeling sticky,
Tight,
Tense,
Perhaps even sore,
I gently invite you to send more of your breath to these places,
To these sticky spots,
To these tight,
Tense areas.
And as you breathe your breath into those places,
Know that you are sending these places love,
You're taking time to listen to these places.
And with each exhalation you're letting everything go,
Softening your body,
Relaxing your body,
Honouring your body and all that it does and all that it holds and all that it creates and all that it supports.
And as you pay attention to your body,
Listening to its rhythms,
Listening to its language and breathing,
Noticing,
Loving,
Imagine that there is a blanket,
That this loving energy is putting over your body.
You imagine this blanket is covering your feet and covering your ankles and it's slowly being pulled up towards your shins and your knees and this lovely,
Warm,
Soft,
Velvety blanket is coming up your legs,
Your thighs and now it's at your hips,
Wrapping itself around the lower half of your body.
And this blanket is being pulled up towards your belly and it's moving up,
Covering your chest,
Your arms.
And you start placing your hands under the blankets and placing your arms under the blanket to feel its warmth.
And it's being pulled up to your shoulders,
Covering your neck and you can feel the warmth,
The loving comfort of this blanket all around you,
Supporting you,
Comforting you and loving you.
Remember that you have access to this feeling whenever you may need it.
And paying attention to the warmth that you're feeling now,
Paying attention to what it feels like to be comforted,
To be held and to be loved.
Dear Beloved,
There is a part of you deep inside that always knows what you need.
This part of you is a loving witness.
It sees you,
It cares for you,
It wishes to protect you.
This part of you is quiet and it requires attention,
It requires listening,
It requires stillness and slowing down.
And when you get to this place of stillness,
Of listening,
Of truly listening,
Its wisdom will come forth and provide you with exactly what you need in this moment.
Its wisdom is compassionate,
It is kind,
It is loving.
Take a moment to feel all of the love that it has for you in this moment,
Right now.
Breathe it in.
And just noticing the sensations and feelings of this loving energy,
Of this compassionate energy.
Noticing what becomes possible when we enter this space and this energy.
This wisdom,
This energy,
This love lives inside of you and you can access it at any point in time,
Whenever you need it.
All you need to do is give yourself the space for stillness,
The space to slow down and the space to truly listen to what it has to share.
And this is how love comes forth and this is how we can listen to love.
This is your pathway.
Know that you are love,
You are the embodiment of love,
As we all are.
This essence lives inside of you and you can access it whenever you need to.
Know that you matter,
Know that you are loved and know that there are sources of love that you can access whenever you need.
And gently start to move in a way that feels good to you.
Again,
Just noticing this loving energy,
Noticing where you feel it in your body,
Listening to its messages,
Honouring its wisdom.
And as you start to move your body and stretch,
Perhaps if that feels good to you,
Maybe wiggling your fingers or wiggling your toes and just bringing back movement into your state of being right now.
And as you move,
Gently coming into the present moment,
A gentle reminder to you,
My love,
That love is always listening,
Love is always available and love is you.
Be well and take this loving energy forth,
Not only for yourself,
But for others around you.
May you always listen to the love within.
