Meditation Timer OnlineSabrina Ragan is a registered psychologist and the director of Keystone Child and Family Therapy in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She holds a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy, and is a Licensed Canadian Clinical Counsellor and Certified Play Therapist, licensed since 2008. Sabrina has spent nearly two decades working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has a deep interest in neuroscience and attachment, and these form the foundation of nearly everything she does clinically. She believes that understanding what is happening in the brain and nervous system, alongside a person's early relational experiences, is essential to understanding emotional regulation, behaviour, and connection. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms or stopping behaviour, Sabrina helps children and families understand what is happening underneath it — what the nervous system is responding to, what a behaviour is communicating, and what the brain and body actually need in order to regulate. This attachment- and neuroscience-informed lens shapes her approach to self-regulation, co-regulation, play therapy, and family relationships alike. Sabrina also shares parenting and family education through The Parents Connection. She believes people don't need to be fixed — they need to be understood, and given practical tools grounded in how the brain and relationships actually work.
