
Running Bath For Calm & Sleep

Baths can be excellent for inducing calm and tranquility. A lot of research has been done showing varying wellbeing benefits from having a bath. From a physical perspective, it can help reduce aches and pains, benefit breathing, lower blood pressure & slow your heart rate down. From a psychological perspective, it can help induce a sense of calm, help with insomnia or provide a quiet & isolated moment for reflection & even meditation. The whole experience can be hugely beneficial for our wellbeing. A big part of having a bath for me is taking time to listen to it running. In that moment, I focus on nothing but the sound & allow my breath to slow. So, I captured this audio with 4 microphones recording simultaneously. Two over the water, and two hydrophones under the water to really enhance the low rumbles as the bath fills. This gave me an even more intimate listening experience that I wanted to share with you all here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
