Binaural Babbling Brook For Peace & Visualization
by Ryan Garner
It's my birthday at the end of March and I've been treated to a new microphone for the collection. This microphone records binaural audio, with silicone ears that the microphones are placed in. This creates a separation in the audio and replicates human hearing by simulating the shape of the ears and the space between the mics that imitate our heads. The results from this setup can be quite fascinating and immersive. Binaural audio always makes me feel like I am right back in that moment, hearing exactly what I heard at that time exactly as I heard it. I found this to be a really calming sound, so I put my new equipment to the test and hit record. I love the bubbling and burbling sounds and the way it seems like the stream is coming in one ear and out of the other when listened to on headphones. I hope you enjoy it too. For best results, earphones or headphones are recommended when listening to Binaural audio.
