The Melodic Ocean

This is a piece of music I composed around one of my field recordings of ocean waves & walking along the beach. I wanted the ocean and the waves to be the focus, and the music to just weave around the recorded sounds. I tried to compose something relatively simple, melodic, and calming that would complement the ocean. The drums are reminiscent of a steady heartbeat that flirts with the passing waves. The keys are primarily simple chords that allow the waves to take center stage & I tried to make the music very "dreamy" sounding. I hope you enjoy it.
