Soft Snowfall (Light Snowfall For Sleep, Calm & Focus)
by Ryan Garner
We have finally had a decent amount of snowfall where I live in the UK. I've been waiting for this and looking forward to it as I love the snow. I watched it dance its way down from the sky and dissipate on the ground outside my window. Eventually, it began to pick up slightly & I decided to try and record it on the roof of our conservatory. When I entered, I could see a layer of fresh snow resting on the roof, but heard no sound. However, I wasn't deterred. I know my microphones are far more sensitive to sound than our ears are & proceeded to place the mics as close to the roof as possible. When I put my headphones on, I could hear this gentle crackling sound as the snow settled on the rooftop & found this pleasing. In some respects, bizarrely, it almost reminded me of a crackling fireplace. I left my equipment recording for a while and ended up with this audio for you to enjoy. I hope you like it.
