136.1Hz Tuning Fork For Calm, Tranquility & Relaxation
by Ryan Garner
Relax and focus on the sound of the 136.1Hz tuning fork droning and fading throughout this experience. I recently purchased this tuning fork for myself to help with my meditation practice. It's said that this fork and frequency is particularly useful for providing relaxation through meditation. This "OM" sounding frequency is said to induce a state of relaxation & it's also been suggested that the sound can assist with relief from joint stiffness and muscle soreness. I enjoy the sound this fork generates and wanted to share it with you all in the hope it helps you too in your practice. Interestingly, 136.1 Hz is the standard frequency of the OM tuning fork. This is the frequency often used to tune the instruments for Indian temple music. I've also read It is called "Sadja", or "Sa", and is the fundamental tone of the Sitar and Tambura. Headphone recommended.
