It can be so easy for our mind to get stuck in the past or wonder about the future.
Let's use this moment as an opportunity to practice mindfulness using your senses.
Find a comfortable position.
Settle into the space around you.
And start by focusing on what your eyes can see.
Try not to label,
Judge,
Analyze,
Or find meaning in what you see.
Just notice the experience of seeing.
Now notice what you hear in this moment.
You don't have to label what the sounds are or where they're coming from.
Just practice being present with the experience of your body hearing them.
Now tune in to your sense of smell,
Allowing whatever you're experiencing to be present with as little judgment as possible.
Now notice your sense of taste,
And mindfully observe what your mouth is experiencing.
Now notice how your sense of touch is experiencing this moment,
Continuing to observe mindfully.
Now experience this moment as a whole,
Tuning in to all your senses at once.
As our practice comes to a close,
I invite you to extend some gratitude to your body for your ability to experience the world through your sensory perception.
Whenever you're ready,
Take a nice,
Slow,
Deep breath and gently move into the rest of your day.
Thank you for joining us today.
