A somatic journey to embodied wisdom.
My name is Stephanie.
We're often told to trust our intuition or follow our gut,
But what does that mean and how do we connect to this inner knowing?
In this guided meditation,
You will access a deeper connection with the inherent wisdom of your body by awakening your inner senses,
Learning to listen to the messages within and expanding your awareness to include all parts of you.
Let this practice open you to a more connected choice-making,
Intuitive self-trust and deeper discernment in your daily life as you move through the world guided by the wild wisdom within.
Now let's begin this journey through somatic awareness.
I invite you to get comfortable,
Whether you're seated or lying down,
Go ahead and set yourself up to feel at ease in your body.
When you feel ready,
Close your eyes or soften your gaze and we'll begin by bringing our awareness in to the experience of breathing in the body.
Notice where you feel the movement of breath in your body.
Notice the texture and the rhythm of this breath moving through.
Let the breath be as it is.
Let the breath be this touch point for your awareness to come home to the embodied experience of breathing.
Where do you sense the movement of your breath?
What does this breath feel like in your body?
Now in a moment,
We'll begin to move through a guided sense awareness with certain phrases that I will repeat.
As I say these phrases,
Notice if you feel anything in your body.
Notice where you feel it in the body,
What the feeling is.
Are there any images or sounds or scents or textures,
Thoughts or stories arising with the feeling in the body?
And don't worry if you can't describe it.
Just focus on the visceral feelings or sensations that these words conjure without labeling any of it as good or bad,
Right or wrong.
And if you don't feel anything right away,
That's okay.
Just notice how these words land in your body.
Let's begin.

Your phone notification sounds alerting you to a message coming through.

And now as we prepare to deepen this somatic awareness,
This felt understanding within the body,
I will guide you to notice and observe certain body parts.
And as you do,
Simply notice what it feels like to connect your awareness with this physical body part.
Noticing any sensations,
Any stories,
Any observations.

Let's begin.
Bring your awareness to the sole of your left foot.
Notice and feel the sole of your left foot.
And now your right knee.
And now your right knee.
Connect to your right knee.
Notice your lower back.
The visceral sensations of your lower back.
Notice the palm of your right hand.
Sense the palm of your right hand.
Connect to your left elbow.
Feeling your left elbow.
Feeling your left elbow.
Bring your awareness to both shoulders now.
Feeling what is present in both shoulders.
Sense the back of your skull where it meets the base of your neck.
Sense the back of your skull where it meets the base of your neck.

Notice both nostrils.
The feeling of both nostrils.
The feeling of both nostrils.
Sense the tongue in your mouth.
Sense the tongue in your mouth.
Sensing the entire tongue in your mouth and throat.
Sensing the entire tongue in your mouth and throat.
Observe the eyeballs in their sockets.
Notice the eyeballs in their sockets.
Sense the crown of your head and any felt sensation or story here at the crown of your head.
As we continue this journey of connecting to the wisdom within,
I'm going to invite you to bring your awareness to certain parts of the body,
And this time as you do,
Tuning in a little deeper to see if there are any insights,
Messages,
Or intuitive feelings coming through.
This may be in the form of visuals,
Sounds or voice,
Tactile sensation or scent or taste,
Or perhaps just a sense of knowing.
Maybe a visual experience or thought.
Again,
Try not to label any of it good or bad or right or wrong.
Just observe what comes through honestly.
And if nothing comes through,
Simply focus your awareness on connecting to this part of your body.
So bring this witnessing within to the bowl of your pelvis,
The deep well of your pelvic bowl.
Are there any messages for you?
Here in the bowl of your pelvis,
What do you witness?
What do you receive?
And with reverence,
We move on to the space of the navel,
The center of the abdomen,
The belly.
Observing the belly.
Opening to any intuitive messages that might reveal themselves.
Here in the belly,
What arises to be seen and heard?
We'll travel our awareness upwards now to the space of your heart.
And listening in to your heart.
What messages reside here?
What do you feel?
And then walk this inner awareness up and in towards the center of the brain.
The third eye point.
As though you could turn your gaze all the way in towards the center of the brain.
Staying connected here.
Sensing any intuitive insights.
Opening to any messages in any form.
And let's now begin to expand this awareness to encompass the entire body from the tips of the toes and fingers all the way up and through to the crown of the head and including moving to the energetic auric space that immediately surrounds your physical body.
Your entire physical,
Energetic,
Mental,
Emotional,
Feeling body.
And as this awareness encompasses all parts of you.
Open yourself to receive any insights that flow through.
Open yourself to receive any insights that flow through.

And then slowly bring your awareness back to this original touch point of the breath in the body.
Reconnect to the rhythm of the breath moving through.
Where you feel this movement within.
Sensing the full visceral and energetic experience of the breath in the body.
The spaces between the breath moving in and out.
You're welcome to stay in this space of embodied listening as long as you desire.
When you feel complete you might choose to journal or reflect upon anything you received.
Any insights or messages that the body has been expressing to you.
And as you move through your daily life may you continue to be guided by the wild wisdom within.
