Let's get started by getting cozy in your bed.

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

Feel your blanket keeping you warm and safe.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly breathe out through your mouth.

Let's do that again but this time squeeze your hands into tight little fists as you breathe in and let them go nice and soft as you breathe out.

One more time,

Big belly breath in,

Squeezing your hands and releasing your hands nice and soft.

Now your whole body can relax,

Your shoulders melt down,

Your tummy feels soft,

Your feet sink deeper into your bed.

You are safe,

You are warm and you are ready to rest.

Now imagine a tiny star floating above your bed.

It shimmers gold and silver and smiles at you.

Hi,

It says softly.

I'm your sleepy time star.

The star sprinkles gentle light over your hands and your feet and your heart.

Each place that the sprinkles feels warm and calm.

You take a slow sleepy breath in and the light helps your body relax even more.

The little star begins to float upward and you imagine floating with it up,

Up and into the quiet night sky.

You see thousands of twinkling like friendly faces and peaceful.

The star whispers,

Whenever you take deep belly breaths,

I'm here to help you rest and to help you dream.

Your eyes are growing heavier now,

Your body is still and your breath is calm.

The star's light fades into your cozy blanket,

Wrapping you in calm and comfort.

Take one more deep belly breath in and slowly sigh it out.

Drifting,

Floating and dreaming as your little star watches over you.

Sweet dreams.
