Details

Egypt has plenty of places you visit. Abydos is different. People have been coming here for thousands of years to pray, to heal, to be reborn, to sit with death and what comes after. The heart of the retreat is the Temple of Seti I, long known within Abydos's spiritual tradition as a place of deep healing. We don't just go in there once and check it off the list. We go back several times, and each visit you'll be guided to move through the chapels and sanctuaries intuitively, noticing where you feel drawn and what may be opening for you. Outside the temple, we continue the work through energy activations, soul regression, meditation, sacred ceremony, light codes transmissions, group healing practices, as well as time to rest and integrate. There is also a full-day journey to Dendera, where we enter the Temple of Hathor and connect with a very different energy of love, joy, the heart and the sacred feminine. You arrive in Abydos with your own story, your own questions, and perhaps something in your life that needs to be healed, understood or released. You don’t need to know exactly what that is before you come. Some people come with a very clear intention. Others simply know they feel called to Egypt, to Abydos, or to step away from everyday life where they can listen more deeply. Honestly, Abydos is the whole reason this retreat exists. We wanted people to have real time here, enough to actually work with the temple instead of rushing off to the next site. We’re there to guide you, hold the space and help you work with whatever comes up, but your journey will be your own. And hopefully, you leave with something that stays with you long after you’ve returned home.

We’ll be staying at the House of Life, a hotel and healing centre in the village of Abydos, just a few minutes walk from the Temple of Seti I. House of Life is a peaceful place built around a central courtyard and swimming pool, with gardens and quiet spaces where you can rest between our sessions and temple visits. Rooms are comfortable and have a private bathroom and balcony, air-conditioning, a refrigerator, and free Wi-Fi. We’ll also have our meals together in the restaurant during the retreat (breakfast, lunch and dinner is served at the hotel, buffet-style). What makes staying here especially meaningful is the story behind the House of Life itself. It was inspired by the vision of Dorothy Eady, better known as Omm Sety, who devoted much of her life to Abydos and believed she had once served at the Temple of Seti I as a priestess. One of her wishes was to recreate a place in Abydos where ancient Egyptian healing knowledge could once again be explored, practiced and remembered. House of Life eventually opened in 2008. It feels very fitting that this is where we’ll be staying. We’re close enough to return to the temple throughout the retreat, while still having a quiet and comfortable place to come back to, rest, swim, share meals and integrate the experiences of the day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included throughout the retreat and are served buffet-style at the House of Life. The food is a mix of traditional Egyptian dishes and simple, nourishing meals, with plenty of fresh ingredients. Vegetarian options available. Meals are also a nice part of the rhythm of the retreat, giving us time to sit together, slow down and connect between temple visits and sessions. If you have any dietary requirements or food allergies, please let us know before the retreat so we can arrange what is possible with the hotel.

Schedule

Our days will have a natural rhythm rather than feeling packed from morning until night. We’ll move between visits to the Temple of Seti I, energy sessions, meditation, ceremony, group practices and sharing, with time built in to rest and integrate. Most mornings will begin with a simple grounding practice, heart-brain coherence and daily oracle guidance before we move into the day. Throughout the retreat we will return to the Temple of Seti I several times, each visit allowing us to explore the temple and its healing spaces more deeply. Our retreat work includes KA Light Activation, Zero Point Transmission, Isis-Magdalene Codes Activation for women, a group Soul Regression Journey, light codes transmissions, guided meditations, cacao or blue lotus ceremony, group healing intention work and daily sharing circles. One full day is dedicated to our journey to Dendera and the Temple of Hathor. There is also free time throughout the retreat to rest, journal, swim, spend time alone or simply allow yourself to process what is coming up. Integration is part of the experience, so we intentionally do not fill every hour.

Testimonials

info

"For me, this retreat was the best experience ever!!! I say this because so many things happened in such a short time. I honestly wished I could have stayed longer — even forever, if that had been possible. During this retreat, I learned so many powerful and supportive techniques. I discovered what love truly means. What compassion, devotion, intention, gratitude, and deep connection really feel like. I continue to feel grateful every single day, because for me, something shifted on every level. I can truly say, in every sense of the word: This was a rebirth.” — Dana

"I feel called to share a few words from the heart, to honor everything we experienced together during this retreat. It was more than just an experience… it was an inner journey, a deep opening into healing, presence, and the beauty of being together in truth. The memory of those moments of unity, the stillness that embraced us, and the collective power we felt so vividly — all of this will stay with me. […] I carry all these gifts within me, and I know this retreat left a deep imprint that will continue to inspire my path and nourish my inner journey.“ —Silvia
