Welcome to this space.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or just in need of a few minutes to yourself,
This practice is here to support and guide you back to your center.
Please take a few moments to create an intentional space for yourself.
I invite you to lie or sit down and if this doesn't feel right or is not doable and you wish to move your body in some way while listening mindfully,
Please do what feels best for you in this moment.
In the midst of a busy day,
Peace and calm can feel distant,
Yet these are the moments when gently returning to yourself matters the most.
Now,
Let's begin.
I ask that you pay attention to your spine.
Are you slouching?
Holding tension in your lower,
Middle or upper back?
Are your shoulders up around your ears?
Please release any tension and relax the shoulders now,
Specifically paying attention to any sensations in your spine and back muscles.
I encourage you to stretch or move now to release anything stored here.
Let's breathe in for four seconds and out for four.
We are going to gently incorporate some additional movement here.
If you are able to,
Begin to slowly roll your shoulders in a circular motion for eight seconds.
And now back the other way for another eight seconds.
Place your left hand over your heart space in the middle of your chest and then your right hand on top of your left.
We are going to take a moment to check in with ourselves.
Let's find our breath here.
Breathing intentionally into your heart,
Noticing any sensations,
Feelings or emotions that arise.
There is no judgment,
Just awareness and an acceptance to whatever is present in this moment.
Please repeat this phrase either out loud or in your mind.
I am loving,
Lovable and loved.
Take one deep inhalation here and pause.
Let these words permeate into your being.
Repeat again.
I am loving,
Lovable and loved.
And breathe again in through the nose and out the mouth.
We are to repeat this phrase one last time.
I am loving,
Lovable and loved.
Sit with these words and really let them land in your awareness.
I invite you to repeat this intentional phrase to yourself as often as you need and intentionally move your body in whichever way feels right for you while you are using this declaration.
When you are ready,
Softly open your eyes and allow your hands to rest in a neutral position.
