Hello,
My name is Jacqueline and I am a very proud grandma who likes to help my grandchildren whenever I can.
This is a meditation we enjoy doing,
Especially when my grandchildren are experiencing negative emotions one way or another.
Did you know we can change our emotions and feelings by our thoughts?
If we are sad or angry because of something someone has said or done to us,
By putting our thoughts onto something else which is positive,
We can help ourselves feel happy.
Some people find this difficult to do,
But by using this simple technique,
It is possible to go from a negative mindset to a positive mindset.
I am going to begin some sentences which I would like you to finish in your own words as quickly as you can without really thinking too much about them.
Just say the first thing which comes into your head.
Okay,
Let's get comfortable before I begin.
Rest your hands in your lap and gently close your eyes so you are not distracted by the things around you.
Now,
To relax your body and mind,
Take a deep breath in and now slowly allow that breath out.
And another,
Deep breath in and blow it out.
Right,
We are ready to begin.
Finish these sentences with the first thought that comes into your mind.

Take a breath in as you wiggle your toes and fingers.
And as you breathe out,
Gently open your eyes.
Notice how you are feeling.
You should feel happy and positive,
Ready to go about your day.
Knowing that you can return to this meditation at any time,
Especially when you may feel a little negative.
