I love walking through the snow and hearing the crunch underfoot with each step I take ... and that is what we will do in this meditation. As you journey through this visualization, you will be given words of wisdom from a very special bird, and an unexpected message from a snowflake ... so keep your mind open and be ready to use your imagination. Thank you for your kind messages and continued support ... I truly love hearing from you.

Hello,

My name is Jacqueline and I am a very proud grandma.

I write guided meditations for my grandchildren and I'm happy to share them with you too.

Meditation is a great way to receive guidance,

Answers to our questions or positive words to inspire us to do and achieve things.

As you journey through this visualization you will be given words of wisdom from a very special bird so keep your mind open and be ready to use your imagination.

Let's begin.

Make yourself comfortable either sitting or lying down.

Wiggle a little and make yourself really comfy as you allow your body to completely relax.

Now take a deep breath in and as you breathe out gently close your eyes.

Take another deep breath in then relax your shoulders as you breathe out.

And now we are ready to begin.

In your mind's eye you look out of your window and see that snow has been falling.

There is a lot of snow which looks so pretty as it sparkles in the sunlight.

Although you know how cold the snow is it does look inviting and you decide to go outside.

You wrap a scarf around your neck before putting on a warm coat.

You slip your feet into your boots and then pull a woollen hat onto your head making sure your ears are tucked inside.

Then you put on your woollen gloves and you are ready.

Wrapped up warm and eager to explore outside in the snow.

Leaving your house you walk down the road.

You are the only person out.

Everyone else must be warm and cozy in their homes.

It is very calming and peaceful outside.

You look around enjoying the beauty of the sparkling snowflakes nestled protectively on the bushes and trees.

The only sound you can hear is the crunch of fresh snow under your boots with every step you take.

The picturesque view you see before you looks like thousands of tiny crystals.

And the beauty of it all causes you to take a deep breath in as you feel grateful for this very special weather.

Snow cover helps regulate the temperature of the earth's surface and when the snow melts the water helps fill rivers and reservoirs.

You breathe out and notice your breath.

Frosty breath.

You feel like a dragon breathing fire.

Your breath looks quite mystical as it floats up into the air and then it disappears before your eyes.

It's cold out here and the air nips at your nose but that doesn't bother you.

You take more deep breaths in and out.

As you watch your frosty breath float before you it begins to form shapes.

Hearts,

Stars and then a smiley face.

Then the shapes turn into words.

You breathe out and see the word joy.

Then you see the word fun.

Then amazing.

And the final word is believe.

You realise the words and shapes are giving you inspiration to trust in yourself and your dreams whilst appreciating life.

With your heart inspired you walk on a little further enjoying the crunchy sound with every step you take.

Suddenly you hear another noise.

It appears to be coming from a nearby tree.

You look over at the tree and you see a large owl sitting way up on a branch.

The owl is looking at you.

It hoots and you sense it has a message for you.

You walk over to the tree just as the owl moves down to a lower branch to be closer to you.

As you look into the owl's eyes the owl hoots.

Using your mind you realise you can understand his message.

You listen.

This message is about working hard and learning everything you can whilst exploring life and making fun memories.

You continue listening to this very wise owl.

With his message delivered the owl flies away.

You are grateful for his words of encouragement.

It's beginning to feel colder now so you turn and walk back to your house.

Once again the only sound you can hear is the crunch of snow with every step you take as you walk slowly home.

It begins to snow.

You look up at the sky.

The tiny snowflakes fall softly upon your face.

They feel quite refreshing and make you smile.

Then you realise it is the little things in life which bring you the greatest happiness.

You hold your hand out and a large snowflake lands upon your glove.

You look at it and are amazed by its beauty.

It is so delicate and so unique.

As it begins to melt you sense the message this snowflake is sending to you.

You are also beautiful.

You are also unique.

You are also delicate and must always be kind to yourself.

The snow is falling heavier as you arrive home.

Going indoors you remove your gloves,

Hat,

Coat,

Boots and scarf.

You settle down and make yourself comfortable as you remember the messages you have received.

All things you have needed to hear.

With a happy heart and a feeling of contentment with your life it is time to end this meditation.

Take a breath in as you wiggle your toes and fingers and as you breathe out gently open your eyes.

Notice how you are feeling.

You should feel happy and inspired by all the amazing messages you have received.

Use this positive energy as you go about your day knowing that you can return to this meditation at any time.

Thank you for meditating with me.

Before you go I would like to ask you a question.

What is your favourite thing to do in the snow?

Thank you for taking this journey with me.

In the comments let me know how this meditation has helped you today.

Bye for now.

I like making snowmen. Story time! The Little Snowflake. Part 1. Once ther lived a little snowflake called Ocean. Ocean loved living up high in the clouds. But one day Ocean fell from mother cloud. Ocean floated down to the ground. She was screaming. She herd other snowflakes saying " Wee!" Oceans sister, Water floated past. Water didn't look very happy, as she enjoyed spending time with her friends back up in the cloud. Ocean was the smallest snowflake in the cloud, so her sister was much bigger than her. As the other snowflakes bumped into Ocean, she eventually hit the soft snow covered floor. A big rabbit, well, big to Ocean, Water and the other snowflakes, hopped over them. Ocean screamed as loud as she could " Stop!" The rabbit stopped amidiatly and said " Who's their?" The little snowflake called out to the rabbit " Down here! In the snow! I'm a snowflake! My names Ocean, and you almost stood on me!" The rabbit replied " Sorry Ocean. But you're just a teeny weeny snowflake. I just stood on a bunch of snowflakes. By the way, my names David." Ocean said " Well you're quit rude, David. Imagine if you wher a snowflake and I was a rabbit, and I stood on you. How would you like that? Huh?" David frowned and hoped of as he said " Thanks for you're advice! Next time, I'll be sure to be more aware of little snowflakes like you!" Sounding a bit sarkastick, David soon disappeared in the forest. To be continued...
