You may be familiar with the concept of soul ages. Each reincarnation we "pick up the torch" of our Soul and carry on with the curriculum set out before us. Premasudha cites the famous John Mccrae poem here to remind us that it is not safe to stay asleep. We must pray for the courage to take the next step and then the next.

Transcript

Take up our quarrel with the foe.

To you from failing hands we throw the torch.

Be it yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die,

We shall not sleep,

Though poppies grow in Flanders fields.

This is our covenant with our souls,

To move into our souls.

It's our covenant that we made before we were born.

Take up the quarrel with the foe.

It's like fight the good fight.

You don't,

You know,

Fight fear or fight feeling bad,

But you keep the focus.

You turn your focus to the creator,

You know.

You follow the guidance of the teachers that you're seeking.
