So here we are in the darkest time of the year,
You know,
Even the pagans used to celebrate around this time because human mammals are a little uncomfortable with maybe too much darkness.
So it can get quite frantic,
As we all know,
With all the lights and the busyness.
But maybe this season just keep part of you being with yourself.
No matter what's happening,
You know,
Whether you're really busy with parties or maybe you have nowhere to go,
Just embrace yourself.
Embrace what it's like to be you without trying to fix it or be a different way.
Maybe you could just let yourself be this Christmas season.
You know,
Turn up for parties if you're going to parties.
But just be yourself maybe.
We don't.
.
.
I remember years ago,
I guess 40 years ago,
A psychic telling me that I was a little bit more like a trained monkey than a human being.
And I,
You know,
I had all kinds of set behaviors for how I was to behave in different situations.
But what I was avoiding was just being myself.
And it's not like we have to act out or be terrible to other people,
But we could have room just to be ourselves,
Make a space to be ourselves wherever we are.
You know,
The more we do that,
The more we offer others space to be themselves.
Yeah.
And you know,
Christmas,
As we all know,
Can be quite intense.
You know,
Family gatherings,
Issues come up.
You might see other people's egos in stark relief.
You might get hurt,
You know.
But remember that whatever we're encountering in the outside world is reflecting us.
And it can be reflecting how we are to our true nature.
It's,
You know,
It's easier to see where say somebody's mean to us,
Quietly mean to us in a gathering,
But we might not get that.
This is reflecting that we're being mean to our true inner essence,
To the real self in there.
Because I'll tell you,
If you're really good to your being,
If you really embrace yourself,
Your true self and come from there,
You get treated mostly with a lot of respect and love.
Yeah.
But you know,
In the West,
We don't really understand this yet.
Anyway,
Best wishes for the season and may,
You know,
The longer,
Brighter days of January and spring just bring you more into living your truth,
Whatever it is,
As gently and as kindly as possible.
But coming from your,
The true self,
You don't have to be a trained monkey,
You know,
At any time,
Any of us can take our freedom.
Yeah,
It's an illusion when we feel we can't.
We can always have our freedom.
And if we're in a situation maybe where we've got families,
We have the freedom to put our whole heart and soul into our family life,
You know,
To bring our whole selves there,
To do it with grace.
Yeah.
We have the freedom to,
You know,
Choose to pray or not.
Yeah.
We have a lot of freedom.
We sometimes overlook it.
Anyway,
Bless your dear hearts.
