So if you are struggling to be in the corporate environment as a spiritual person,
And maybe sometimes a lot of the beliefs or the structure of the corporate world don't really align,
These are some tips for you to feel more safe in that environment and allow yourself to thrive instead of feeling burnt out,
Stressed and all of the other things.
So the first thing is to set boundaries.
And the sooner you do this,
The easier your life will be because People get used to a certain way of working with you.
And so not that you can't set boundaries later on,
But the sooner you do it,
The more familiar people will be with that way of working instead of trying to shift something dramatically later on and people get confused as to why something's changed.
So setting boundaries in your work environment is extremely beneficial for both your mental health,
Your productivity,
And honestly,
The health of your entire team.
Boundary at work can look like something as simple as having a dedicated work time to actually do your work.
We have all seen the memes and heard the saying of like that meeting could have been an email,
Right?
And so the amount of meetings that we get in that tie up our day,
Especially when we're working across multiple time zones,
Meaning that there's meetings in the morning,
In the afternoon,
Sometimes you have to meet before work or after work hours.
And then you're stuck staying late or working on things through your lunch or at home etc so a boundary there can be time blocking in your calendar so for example from like 10 to 12 every single day you don't take meetings your calendar is blocked for you specifically to do your actual work so you're giving yourself the time in your actual work day to get things done instead of being forced to do them after work hours and working overtime after the workday is done.
And I know sometimes that can be difficult,
Especially with working from home or working hybrid,
That you feel like you're constantly on the clock because you're just at home doing nothing.
But allowing yourself the boundary of once the workday is done,
I'm also done,
Will help prevent burnout and overworking yourself.
So those are some examples of boundaries,
But boundaries are super,
Super,
Super important in the work environment.
Otherwise,
You get taken advantage of very quickly.
Take breaks throughout the day.
So we are sitting and staring at computers all day long,
Whether it's our phone,
Whether it's a laptop,
Whether it's a TV,
We're constantly staring at some sort of computer screen.
And it's really important,
Not just for your mental health,
But actually for your eyesight as well,
To just take a break.
So if you have 10 minutes between meetings,
Just step outside,
Take a few deep breaths in the fresh air,
Look at the sun,
And actually allow yourself to be in the Getting up and taking those breaks throughout the day really help with our mental capacity.
They help us in preventing us from feeling super burnt out and super just zombie mode at the computer screen.
And it gives your nervous system a break from everything that you're going through and that massive rabbit hole of to-do list items that you're working through throughout the day.
My third tip,
A little bit unorthodox,
But work outside if you can.
And if you can't,
Allow yourself to have nature all around your workspace.
We as humans are so in tune with nature and nature is scientifically proven to legitimately calm our nervous system.
So if you're having a particularly stressful day at work,
Try working outside for a couple hours and see how you feel.
Allow your environment to feel comfortable with plants around you and greenery around you because it'll naturally start to soften you and raise your vibration as you're working throughout the day.
And my last one might not necessarily work in an office environment and regulations,
But if you can burn incense,
Have a diffuser with essential oils,
Light a candle,
Do any of those types of things to make your workspace feel more comfortable and more like a safe environment,
That will do wonders for you.
Because we oftentimes are super stressed at work.
It's a very busy,
Very chaotic environment,
And it doesn't feel safe to our nervous system.
So this is a lot easier to do at home,
But if it's possible,
Also do it in the office.
Safe space around where you're working.
Put little things in there that give you comfort,
That feel safe to your nervous system so that you can avoid really getting ramped up and stressed and overworked and burnt out and give your nervous system those little bits of comfort in your work environment.
