Do you have paper?
Do you have pen?
Then you,
My dear,
Can make a creative beginning.
Welcome to this creative meditation from before the brush.
I'm Patricia Baldwin-Sagerbrook and in this brief yet rich two minute exercise I'll take you on a journey to touch your soul of creativity and begin this one day new and inspired intuitive expression.
This is one of three creative beginning creative meditations.
This one with pen,
One with brush,
And another with charcoal.
If you do not have any of these elements don't worry.
Use what you have and give them each try with your tool of choice and your own sensory interpretation.
It is said that one cannot have a destination that is not of the same energy as the journey.
By beginning each day with a quick shot of creative application you set yourself each day over and over on to a trajectory of refreshing,
Reinvigorating,
Connection to your intuition.
Whether you call yourself an artist or not.
So gather with me now standing or sitting before your canvas,
Your paper,
Pen in hand and let's see where we can go as we begin.
Bring your consciousness to your feet.
The firm grounding you have from them to the earth.
Solid,
Secure,
Start here.
Imagine the power radiating from this footing up through your legs across your form into your organs and limbs.
These limbs we use to express,
To create,
To share into the world.
We continue this flow of power radiance from the earth through our bodies and onto the canvas before us.
A melding of forces that have been created by the universe and the universe and the universe and the universe and the universe A melding of forces that happens uniquely here in the integration of this earth energy to our own one unique energetic self.
Take up pen today in non-dominant hand.
Hold it loosely like a conductor's baton.
Place this pen to canvas before you and let this imagination of strength rising from the earth through your body express.
Have it flow and swoop,
Swirl and scrawl.
This is unique to you alone this expression here today now.
As you choose to commit to this expression and see what comes.
Now step back.
Firmly plant your feet again in this back stepping and look.
What is there?
What have you created?
What has come in this one brief expression of power flow through your creative hand?
Now go on from here.
Enjoy your day knowing that you chose to begin here opening a doorway to a whole new way of showing up in the world little by little in creativity.
