
Naturally Deep Relaxation

This session is designed to allow you to become as relaxed as you can be. During the trance, you are likely to not only experience a deep sense of relaxation, but you may also uncover access to your own inner wisdom, inviting you to resolve any issue that needs your attention.
Transcript
I would like to invite you to simply become as relaxed as you may want to be.
Allow yourself to understand that for the next little while,
There will be nothing special for you to do or anywhere you are needing to be.
Just bring yourself into a comfortable position,
Either lying down,
Seated on a cushion or chair.
It really does not matter which decision you make.
In fact,
As we proceed,
You may wish to adjust your body a few times in order to settle further into a state of relaxation.
Get as comfortable as you can and sink into the surface below you.
Perhaps even invite a sense of lightness or groundedness or both.
Play with your awareness of the sensations you are experiencing and as you rest back,
You may like to lay your hands at your side or somewhere comfortably upon your body.
The next few moments,
They are for you to explore just how deeply relaxed you may want to become.
As you rest back,
Take notice of how you're feeling.
You may begin to notice that your experience changes from moment to moment as you listen to my voice,
As you allow my voice to settle you further.
Perhaps even consider it an anchor to the present,
An anchor from which you may feel safe to roam within your mind and body.
I would like to invite you to continue hearing what it is I am saying to you.
Really allow yourself to breathe easily and comfortably.
Notice the feelings associated with your breathing.
Notice the changes you can feel as you inhale and what happens during the exhale.
Changes may be subtle,
But they are there.
I wonder how deeply you can safely explore the changes in your body as you breathe comfortably and easily again as you inhale,
Shift in sensations and just as you exhale,
Feel your chest and abdomen expand and contract.
Notice how this affects the rest of your body.
As cool air enters,
Warm air exits your body very comfortably,
Very easily.
There is no particular way to breathe in this moment.
Just notice that you are breathing.
After some time,
You may wish to invite your eyes to close slowly if you have not already and you may find that they are more comfortable and easy and then return your awareness to the breath.
Notice each inhale and each exhale.
I am curious.
I am curious if you may be able to feel a type of gentle warmth,
A natural warmth.
Imagine it spread slowly and softly across your back and over the front of your body.
Perhaps yours is a sensation of coolness or a mix of the two.
Whatever temperature variations you may be feeling,
Simply notice them and understand that this is your body's response to becoming more and more relaxed.
These sensations that you may be experiencing are meant and designed to help you feel ever more comfortable and ever more at ease all through your mind and body.
You're beginning to rest,
Resting back,
Eyes fully or lightly closed,
Easily and comfortably aware of experience from one moment to the next.
As you become more and more relaxed,
Keeping your awareness on the breath,
I want you to know that you do not have to listen to the words I am saying to you.
Of course,
You will hear everything that I am saying,
Or your ears are healthy enough,
I am speaking loudly enough,
But you do not have to pay any more attention to my words than you feel necessary if you don't want to.
You may wish to allow your mind to wander,
To wander with your conscious mind while your unconscious mind does the work of hearing my words.
You may find yourself reliving a pleasant experience from the past or looking forward to an enjoyable event in the future,
Yet you may really want to listen intently to my words.
You may wish to scrutinize every word I am saying.
Either way,
It does not matter.
It does not matter because for the next little while you are not going to have anything special to do or anywhere to go.
All that matters is that your unconscious mind shows enough interest in the words I am saying and to use those words in your very own special way,
In a way that lends to you more and more of what it is you need in your life.
As we continue,
I would like to know that you remain free to do whatever you need to take care of yourself.
In this moment,
You are welcome to do whatever is necessary to be comfortably lying back,
Resting and breathing easily,
All while knowing that there is nothing to bother you and nothing to disturb you for the next little while.
I wonder if you have begun to notice the sounds around you,
The sounds beyond your immediate surroundings.
Perhaps you have noticed that these sounds can become part of your experience of reaching a deeper state of relaxation and that these sounds will not distract you from this time of peace,
Comfort and relaxation.
In fact,
Each sound or feeling you experience will serve to further relax your mind and body in this moment and soon nothing will bother or disturb you from this experience.
As you felt that warmth or coolness just moments ago,
I wonder if you may have begun to notice other certain physical changes of your experience,
Changes related to increased relaxation.
I'm not sure if you've noticed,
And it doesn't really matter,
Though I am curious,
If you have felt the tingling around your fingers or a similar tingling in your feet or in your face.
Perhaps that warmth has begun to spread through the rest of your body.
I don't even know if you become aware of a slight heaviness in your body,
But that does not really matter.
You are free to explore any sensations you have in this moment and to wonder at your body and mind and how you have created these moments for yourself,
To feel more and more comfortable with nothing to distract and nothing to disturb you.
As we continue,
There may come a time when you wonder if anything is happening at all.
You may be wondering if all you really are doing is just listening to me talk or that you are lost in other thoughts about your day or life.
Honestly,
Even if that is all you feel is happening,
That is perfectly okay.
It's just fine for you to lie back,
Rest easily,
And simply enjoy your ability to breathe easily and comfortably.
Perhaps even getting lost in the awe of how incredible it is that your body can take in oxygen from the atmosphere,
Churn it through your lungs,
Using it fully and efficiently for your body and mind,
And then expel carbon dioxide for the rest of the world to breathe in.
Returning your awareness to the warmth and comfort you invited in not so long ago,
Allow that familiar sensation to permeate through your being,
Feeling a kind of heaviness,
A kind of relaxation that you can feel with every breath.
I do not know,
Nor may I ever know,
What kind of thoughts are floating through your mind right now.
As well,
Do I not know what types of images are being evoked through your experience in this moment.
I do,
However,
Wish that you can settle into them and enjoy that which you are feeling and seeing,
Perhaps images of nature and a deep sense of peace or relaxation accompanied right at this moment.
It could be images and feelings of a warm beach walk or drapes even through a winded forest,
With the aromas that are associated with the experience of sand and seawater or wind,
Flowers,
And pine trees.
Maybe you'd prefer to bring your mind home to a comfortable location in your space,
Somewhere you are familiar with,
Or somewhere you may wish to be,
Simply resting.
I don't know exactly what you need in this moment,
But that does not really matter.
Just allow yourself to sink into this time of relaxation and peace,
Resting deeper and deeper into your own experience of comfort and well-being,
With nothing to disturb you and nothing to distract you,
As you're beginning to rest more fully now.
Almost as if you're beginning to doze off so slowly,
So easily.
Almost as if you're beginning to sleep.
Almost as though you're going to sleep right now.
To sleep and to dream and to enjoy comfort and well-being.
For this experience is for you to enjoy,
Not me,
Knowing that the ability to create this experience is yours,
Not mine.
I wonder though,
If you'd be interested in learning how to use this ability.
I wonder if you may like to know how to use this ability to create comfort and relaxation for yourself.
While your body rests,
Your unconscious mind is better able to take care of you,
And noticing how the quieter you get,
The more energy you accumulate,
So that your unconscious mind can take care of you in the ways you most need and want.
Given that I cannot know what your mind and body needs right now,
Perhaps you can now better attune and listen to what your unconscious mind is asking,
Because you have the ability to automatically create the words,
The sounds,
The sensations you need to hear and feel right now.
It is at this moment where you will be able to mind your own inner voice,
The part of you that knows what you need,
That taps into your fundamental wisdom,
That knows what you need for your life right now.
Listening tentatively to that inner wisdom,
Noticing what it's being asked to address.
Take your time,
Because the reason for your having come to this place deep within has already been revealed.
It may or may not be so apparent in this moment,
Yet it is sinking in,
And your unconscious mind is holding to that which needs to be seen,
Felt,
Heard,
And sensed.
Take your time,
Allow this deep sense of peace,
Comfort,
And relaxation to absorb all throughout your being.
In a moment,
I will stop talking,
But for now,
Rest back in this experience for as long as you like.
When you are ready,
Breathe in easily and quietly through this experience,
For soon you will allow this moment a meaningful closure.
When you are ready,
Of course,
You will then begin to feel yourself coming back to this place,
The place where it all began,
And soon enough,
You will find yourself resting back on the surface below you,
But alert and awake and refreshed,
Almost as if you've just woken from a peaceful nap,
Feeling well and refreshed.
And now,
As I stop talking,
I want you to just allow yourself to luxuriate in this experience of quiet,
Comfortable rest.
