Breathing At Compassion's Door -- An Affirmative Prayer

In response to compassion's beckoning, this short affirmative prayer invites us to pause at the open door of our hearts...and breathe. Then we'll exit this mindful moment feeling revived, peaceful, and anchored in love and empathy. At least that's the intention, anyway. Enjoy!

I affirm, With a deep, Deliberate breath, I move my attention inward to that place prepared for me, That inner dwelling of many mansions, Many levels of consciousness at the very heart of my being. While resting in this place prepared for me, I heed the call to be still and know. Simultaneously, I experience my oneness with divine essence, Which is not resident outside of me to be pursued, But dwells within my heart waiting to be discovered. Lingering a moment longer in this place of peace, I find myself with my heart wide open, Breathing deeply at compassion's door. There I stand peacefully, Poised, Anchored in empathy, Enshrouded with love that soothes and transforms. Daily breath by breath, I return to this welcoming place of peace prepared for me to witness the vibrancy and beauty of divine grace that nudges compassion's door ever wider ajar. And so it is.
