Before this day carries me forward. I want to notice something extraordinary. I am here. I am here. Of all the possibilities in this vast universe. Of all the lives that might have been. Of all the moments that existed before me. And all the moments that will come after me. Somehow. For this brief and astonishing stretch of time. I get to be alive. Thank you for this beautiful life. Thank you for the simple miracle of waking. For consciousness returning quietly in the morning. For opening my eyes and finding the world still here. For light entering a window. For the first familiar sound of the day. Thank you for all these ordinary things that become extraordinary the moment I truly pay attention to them. Thank you for this body. For my heart. For eyes that have witnessed beauty. Thank you for the people who stayed. For those who saw something good in me when I struggled to see it myself. For those whose laughter became part of my memory. For the conversations that lasted longer than expected. For meals around tables. For journeys. For embracers at airports and doorways. Thank you too. For everything that brought me here. For the unexpected turns. For the decisions that changed everything. Thank you for the chance to begin again today. There are things I can do better. Someone I can forgive. Someone I can call. Some small corner of this world I can leave a little warmer than I found it. Let me do that today. Because perhaps this is one of life's strangest gifts. It does not last forever. And because it does not last forever. A sunset can matter. This moment matters. So today, Let me resist the illusion that my real life begins somewhere in the future. My life is already happening. Whatever name belongs to the mystery behind all of this? God, Life, Love, Consciousness, Creation, The universe, Or something beyond every word we have invented? Thank you. Thank you for allowing me to participate. And when this day eventually becomes a memory. May I know that I was present for her. That I noticed. That I loved. That I gave something.
