We're all quite familiar with Philippians chapter 4 verse 11 where Apostle Paul declared that he has learned how to be content no matter the circumstance.
As we read through the chapter we come to realize that it's simply because he is confident that he can do anything through Christ who is his source of strength.
Think about it.
The image of a Christian who has mastered how to be content regardless of the circumstance is the epitome of mature and perfect faith.
But what does it really mean?
How can we learn to be content no matter what?
How can we execute complete trust and genuine praise through the highs and even the lows of life?
Together let's meditate on the verses found in Philippians chapter 4 verse 11 to 13.
Find a comfortable position and gently close your eyes.
Notice the flow of your breath.
The source of your breath is the same source that made sure the Bible gets to you today through different generations and different translations.
Before we begin let's take three deep breaths.
Three in.
Three out.
Two in.
Two out.
One in.
One out.
I don't have any sense of needing anything personally.
I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances.
I'm just as happy with little as with much.
With much as with little.
I have found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry hands full or hands empty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation.
I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty.
I know both how to be a based and I know how to abound.
Everywhere and in all things.
I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry.
Both to abound and to suffer need.
I have learned the secret so that anywhere at any time I am content.
I am not disturbed or an easy regardless of my circumstances.
I know how to get along and live humbly in difficult times and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity.
I have learned the secret of facing life whether well fed or going hungry whether having abundance or being in need.
I have learned to be satisfied with what I have and with whatever happens.
I have learned the secret to live through any kind of situation.
When I have enough to eat or when I'm hungry when I have everything I need or when I have nothing I have learned the secret of contentment.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
I have the strength to face all conditions by the power Christ gives me.
I can do all things which he has called me to do through him who strengthens and empowers me to fulfill his purpose.
I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency.
I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.
Christ is the one who gives me the strength to do whatever I must do.
I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances.
Whatever I have wherever I am.
I can make it through anything.
In the one who makes me who I am.
Whatever I have wherever I am.
I can make it through anything in the one who makes me who I am.
